map items way too small

so i recently bought a few map packs to use in my campaign. my problem is when i drag and drop them theyre tiny. i scroll all the way to the most zoomed in and theyre still too tiny to use. What am i doing wrong here?
It has been my observation that any art object dragged onto the Roll20 map always appears as a token (70X70 pixels).  Fortunately, there is an option under the "Advanced Options" menu items (Advanced Options is an item which appears on the full menu that you get when you right-click on the "token") which will allow you to 1) tell Roll20 it's a Drawing, so it won't have health bubbles and other Token features, and 2) allows you to set the size of the object to whatever you want by actually typing in numbers rather than by dragging and hoping.  Most of the map items I'm familiar with have a standard size, often 20X20 hexes or whatever, so you would enter the new size as 1400X1400 pixels.  It also works better to have the map grid set to Square when you're setting them down so that they line up with each other, and then when you're done you can go back to hexes if you prefer.
To keep the original ratio of height to width for an art asset, hold down Alt or Option while dragging it out to the table. Then resize to the desired size (either by dragging a corner of the image or by using Bill's method above).

Because there is no standard resolution for graphics (most artists oversample by some multiple or arbitrary amount to make the art appear nice at high levels of zoom), the app has no way of telling the intended display size. The Marketplace folks asked contributers to start adding inteded units (ex. 2 x 3 squares) over a year ago, but not much has been done to implement to values to date.
When I'm adding items/art to my map I turn off the grid in the Page Setting. Doing this seems to prevent it from becoming small inside a square but also appears where I dropped it instead of snapping to the grid.

You may find it helpful to drop to the map layer, where the default size is 3x3 instead of 1x1.
