Greetings Adventurers & Dungeon Masters! First, a little Prodigies history for those interested! My name is Morroes and some of you may recognise me from the original post of our little Prodigies project I made here several months ago. It turned out to be a huge success and we soon found ourselves having to bar recruitment as even with multiple DMs we had over 100 members and more players than we could handle! Now the gates of Prodigies are open once more in a second revival, and so it is we are once again looking for new players to join us! We have upcoming journeys being planned even now that need players to play them! So please, read below and let's see if we can ignite an ember in your heart to get involved and join with us! ______________________________________ The first step, the beginning rung on the ladder, that first sharp
tooth taken from that wolf who tried to eat your face. This is where it
begins, who knows where it will lead? When I first found that spark of desire to play D&D myself, I was
excited but also overwhelmed by how I would even go about getting into
that first dice rolling session. Things are certainly easier now but
with more and more groups looking for commitment, experience, a monthly
sub or more, I know it can be daunting to simply dip a toe in the pool
to see how it is! Far Lands - Prodigies
is designed to help those people who have heard about or felt an
interest in jumping into D&D, but have either been too nervous, too
busy to commit long term, or simply too bad with luck in finding a game
to enjoy. Prodigies aims to give those new players a first taste of
D&D 5E to see if it suits their pallet, and have fun every step of
the taste test. And although this is not a full on long term campaign
call, I think the chance to meet fellow new players and friends in the
same boat as you, and even a potential future group, all while having
hours of fun in a game we all want to play still sounds pretty tempting
to me! ;) This opportunity is intended for D&D aspirants new to the
game, and to give them a few sessions (roughly 3 hours per session) to
learn about all the beginner concepts such as making a character, how
combat works, skill checks and then to put it all together with a
friendly and supportive group looking to dive in just like you! Then
once the foundation is set, start the engine up and have some good
honest fun playing the game with exactly that, FUN, as the main priority above
all! We currently have a multitude of DMs both experienced and aspiring, from both American and EU timezones constantly hosting fun one-shots, mini adventures of peril and even a few official modules such as Curse of Strahd here and there! Because we are a community comprised of multiple DMs hosting, rather than advertise for a specific set time, almost every day of the week and every time is an option to join in. When a DM states their upcoming game(s), you simply need to see if that time works for you, and answer the call! All our games, even including those offered by DMs who run paid games outside of Prodigies, are free here and will never ask for payment from you. And if you believe this is just a call to arms for the players, think again! If you are a DM or an aspiring DM wanting to get support, other DMs to bounce ideas off or simply fresh-faced players then we want to hear from you
too! This initiative started with me alone hosting games, then we became 3 DMs, then we became 5, and now we are still constantly encouraging and supporting more new DMs with tips and tricks, resources and Roll20 guidance, let us help you make great games for our great people! So, does this sound like something you want to try out? Then I highly recommend you
let us know in the LFG application and even leave a message in this thread below and
let's get you involved! <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/273650/the-far-lands-prodigies-first-time-slash-newbie-focused" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/273650/the-far-lands-prodigies-first-time-slash-newbie-focused</a>
