Hello! It's me, Nerth the DM. You might remember me from  my post on The Master Under the Monastery . This is the same game, but now that I have two out of a maximum of four players at my table, my players have thankfully allowed for the following changes: We can start between 1-2pm EDT (noon-1pm CST, 5-6pm GMT) on Mondays . Sessions are approximately 4 hours long. Character creation, session 0, and session 1 are all free . Starting at session 2, I encourage players to pay what they can . My asking price is a fair $5-10 USD per session; my two current players are paying $10. I understand that things can be difficult these days, but this money goes towards the subscriptions and assets I can purchase to improve our game first! (Please find the LFG posting here.) The monks at the Monastery of Many Eyes weave the finest spider silk in the Bannerlands, and their rites to their eight-eyed goddess Aranea are full of secrets—and therefore full of rumours. But nobody in the nearby village of Gargaston has heard from the monks since the earthquake a week ago tore the foundations of the monastery apart. Who will be the heroes to search for survivors? Requirements & Rules Campaign:  Welcome to  Beneath the Bannerlands , a homebrew adventure that should last eight to twelve sessions (two to three months). Perfect for some summer fun, or to learn how to play D&D! Date:  Every Monday at noon-1pm CST / 1pm-2pm EDT / 5pm-6pm GMT. Each session should last 3-4 hours. Tech Requirements:  Virtual tabletop and character sheets in Roll20, voice chat over mic in Discord. Characters:  For people new to Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, I offer free help with the rules during character creation and play, so that you can learn as you go along. For more experienced players, you are creating a 3rd-level character with the following rules: 27 point buy for ability scores. Access to all books and Unearthed Arcana. I have the PDFs and am always here to help. No evil alignments. A gentleman's agreement not to steal the spotlight off of other players, or ruin someone else's fun. Price:  First session is free; from second session onwards, pay-what-you-can, via Paypal.  ( This game encourages tipping the Game Master. Please contact before each session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.) What am I paying for? A homebrew campaign that is built around your character and their story as you play, realized immersively with custom tokens, HD art assets, and a character sheet in Roll20 that I'll update over the course of the campaign so when you sit down to play, you can just play! A more mature and committed group that will be here on time and prepared to play! My collection of roleplaying game knowledge, PDFs, and experience built over a decade with different editions of Dungeons & Dragons, which lends to a smooth and immersive session! Access to the benefits of my paid subscriptions, including Syrinscape for music and sound effects, Roll20 for no ads, and Inkarnate for unique homebrewed maps when prebuilt ones aren't enough! All this adds together to roughly one to two hours of preparation on my end for each hour of play. I'm happy to run games basically at cost for the subscriptions, which will help me continue to improve the gaming service I can provide. How do I register to play? I am looking for up to four players, although I'm happy to run games starting with three players. Please send me a private message or respond in the Listing Discussion below with the following: Your Name: Campaign Information:  The Master Under the Monastery; Mondays, 1-2pm EDT. Discord ID (Username#0000): Do you have any experience playing Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition?: What are you looking for in a game of Dungeons & Dragons?: Will you experience problems paying $5-$10 USD per session?: If you have a specific character concept in mind (such as a race, class, or even general concept), feel free to include it with your post. If not, that's also okay! I take applications as a first-come, first-served basis, with spots on a waiting list in case a player can't make it to the session.
