Running a Saturday night game of Robotech/TMNT wasteland survival game at 11pm CST. It might sound weird, but starting in the wastelands with little and making heroes that could potentially reshape the Universe is an achievable goal. It might take a long time, but thats what campaigns are all about. Yes you could start as a mutant, or as an RDF class, learn to pilot mecha, use power armor, build an organization to help or rival the RDF, and discover new adventures. But all this starts with players having almost nothing and salvaging/stealing/ or buying everything they can, when they can. Becoming heroes to civilians in need, who the RDF has turned away.
