What's your name and pronouns? Hello! I'm Forge and I go by he/him. (It's not my real name, but it's pretty much my tag on everything.) Other than DnD, what do you like to do? RPG's are kind of my thing. I can't remember a time where I wasn't interested in them. I typically play video games, board games, MtG, and generally burn time on campaign projects I might run one day. I am currently in progress at making my own board game(s). How experienced are you with DnD 5e? I've been playing on and off for about a decade now, I started in high school. I've played and ran 4e, 5e, Pathfinder, and various other lesser known systems. What kind of characters do you like to play? Honestly, I'm typically stuck running campaigns so I don't get a lot of time to enjoy characters I make. I generally prefer light-hearted campaigns over grim-dark, but I've played just about everything. From a old man warlock teetering on the brink of sanity, to an edgy ex-merc, to a goofy mexico-style luchador. I prefer characters with deep backgrounds so I can be more engaged in the story, but it's not a requirement. I often put a lot of work into my characters when I get excited about a setting, because I enjoy playing but rarely get the chance. What's your favourite thing about DnD? If I had to put my finger on what I specifically enjoy, it's just having fun. Giving everyone a chance to shine, and simply enjoying the adventure. My absolute favorite moments are the serious character moments that pop-up during more light-hearted campaign. Something that really pulls everyone in. What do you not enjoy? It's less what I don't enjoy and more what I'm tired of from my own group. Hard dungeon-crawlers, and grim-dark fantasy. Post apocalypse (or the looming threat of one). We have a running joke in our group about "scarce resources" that always seems to crop up during the campaign explanation. Does the time work for you? It does not IMMEDIATELY work for me, because of school. But my semester (and class for Tuesday) is over next week, and I don't work on Tuesdays. Literally next week my schedule will be free for at least a month or two. I'm EST time-zone (so it's around noon if my math is correct). Anything else I should know? I'm 30 years old and I'm a bit of an introvert so I'm reaching a bit out of my bubble for this. i've never played with "strangers" before online, but my friend has had relative success doing so, and I figured I'd give it a shot.
