Hello! I'm Annie, and I'm hoping to put together a five person group for tuesday sessions at 6PM CEST . This is the afternoon for most europeans. I'm hoping to find players who love roleplaying and get really invested in their characters and the story. I usually run lighthearted and character-driven games. We'd be using discord for voice calls during the session, and using roll20 for battlemaps, sheets and rolls. I've already put together a group, and I am no longer looking for players.  To sign up, please answer the questions below.  What's your name and pronouns?  Other than DnD, what do you like to do?  How experienced are you with DnD 5e? What kind of characters do you like to play? What's your favourite thing about DnD? What do you not enjoy?  Does the time work for you?  Anything else I should know?

Hi, I'm Sky (she/her). Other than D&D, I like to code quite a bit, usually simulations. I am also known to enjoy a good spot of video game. I've played 5e for a number of years now, so I'm familiar with the system and a lot of the character options from the core set (including Xanather's but not Tasha). I usually find myself playing casters of some type -- sorcerers, wizards, clerics and all. I like to explore the range of personalities and backgrounds that would end up as one of those classes, from the unlikely chosen to the pious to the supremely confident. I often end up preferring someone who's inclined to take the lead if needed. My favorite thing is probably how the system is much more accessible than 3.5e: it allows for a bigger range of players to join in, and DMs are more able to build whatever they want on top of it without accidentally changing a small thing that has cascading effects. Roleplay is fun and 5e has really helped bring it into the mainstream. I don't enjoy constant combat encounters -- they're necessary every once in a while, but if every session is constant combat I would find it too easy to tune out. Time is perfect!

Hey Annie! I'm not sure if your group is already made, but I'd be happy to join if there's a spot :) What's your name and pronouns? - I go by Lavender, Adele, or Adam, and I use all pronouns. I personally prefer they/them but she/her and he/him also work. I identify as nonbinary. Other than DnD, what do you like to do? - I'm a traditional and digital artist, and I really enjoy drawing the characters I play when I have the free time. How experienced are you with DnD 5e? - I've been playing with two groups for over a year now and I'd say that I am always ready to learn more! What kind of characters do you like to play? - I've played a lot of healers, particularly clerics and paladins, but I'd love to try something different for this group. I tend to play characters that have a similar personality to my own, but I'm doing my best to branch out and have some fun with character creation. What's your favourite thing about DnD? - I love brainstorming ideas for characters and improving my ability to have fun with them. I think I like participating in battles the most above all else, but I still love roleplaying and interacting with the world my characters are in :3 What do you not enjoy? - I'm not sure if there's anything in particular I hate or dislike, but I'm always ready to hand out criticism when it's accepted. For now, I'd say that I don't enjoy talking too much, I'm quite a shy person in reality and so it can be hard to be as interactive as others are ;;w;; Does the time work for you? - 6 pm CEST works perfectly, I go by EST, and so game starts at noon for me. Tuesday is a perfect day to play as well. Just about any time in the afternoon/evening works for me, later or earlier. Anything else I should know? - I'm 18, and I'm a senior in highschool. My time should free up immensely over the next two months :) I'll send you my discord @ if I'm accepted into the group! Cheers~

What's your name and pronouns?   Hello! I'm Forge and I go by he/him. (It's not my real name, but it's pretty much my tag on everything.) Other than DnD, what do you like to do?  RPG's are kind of my thing. I can't remember a time where I wasn't interested in them. I typically play video games, board games, MtG, and generally burn time on campaign projects I might run one day. I am currently in progress at making my own board game(s). How experienced are you with DnD 5e? I've been playing on and off for about a decade now, I started in high school. I've played and ran 4e, 5e, Pathfinder, and various other lesser known systems. What kind of characters do you like to play? Honestly, I'm typically stuck running campaigns so I don't get a lot of time to enjoy characters I make. I generally prefer light-hearted campaigns over grim-dark, but I've played just about everything. From a old man warlock teetering on the brink of sanity, to an edgy ex-merc, to a goofy mexico-style luchador. I prefer characters with deep backgrounds so I can be more engaged in the story, but it's not a requirement. I often put a lot of work into my characters when I get excited about a setting, because I enjoy playing but rarely get the chance. What's your favourite thing about DnD? If I had to put my finger on what I specifically enjoy, it's just having fun. Giving everyone a chance to shine, and simply enjoying the adventure. My absolute favorite moments are the serious character moments that pop-up during more light-hearted campaign. Something that really pulls everyone in. What do you not enjoy?  It's less what I don't enjoy and more what I'm tired of from my own group. Hard dungeon-crawlers, and grim-dark fantasy. Post apocalypse (or the looming threat of one). We have a running joke in our group about "scarce resources" that always seems to crop up during the campaign explanation.  Does the time work for you?  It does not IMMEDIATELY work for me, because of school. But my semester (and class for Tuesday) is over next week, and I don't work on Tuesdays. Literally next week my schedule will be free for at least a month or two. I'm EST time-zone (so it's around noon if my math is correct). Anything else I should know?  I'm 30 years old and I'm a bit of an introvert so I'm reaching a bit out of my bubble for this. i've never played with "strangers" before online, but my friend has had relative success doing so, and I figured I'd give it a shot.
Hi, to clarify it's 6 PM CEST , central european summer time, not CST,  central daylight time in the US. This game would in fact start at at 11am CST or noon EST. I'm still accepting applications.  😄
Hi Annie, love strong character games and this sounds perfect ❤️ Would love to know more about the world too! Not sure if you are still looking for players or not but here is my application 😊 What's your name and pronouns?: Hi there,   I’m  Kat. I’m 22 and I use she/her pronouns  Other than DnD, what do you like to do?: I am a big reader (usually sci-if and fantasy) with a fairly recent addiction to Animal Crossing and a love for watching old movies. Currently working from home and with the world in literal chaos I spend most my time just cooking or taking my very grumpy Jack Russell on walks 😂  How experienced are you with DnD 5e?: I’ve been playing 5e for about 4 years now, on and off. I started as a DM and to this day I mostly DM rather than play but I am really looking to find a weekly game and get back into playing! What kind of characters do you like to play?: I always love playing the characters that don’t fit the norm of their class/race. Anything from a Goblin Paladin with a big heart or a Artificer Goliath that’s way smarter than people think she is. I especially love playing monster races (they’re just misunderstood!) and the occasional awkward bard haha. Basically I lean towards RP rather than function, I like negatives as modifiers because I think they can add a lot to a character and really love a character with flaws and a deep backstory that can grow over time. Sorry if this is too much info but I really love D&D 😂 What's your favourite thing about DnD?: my favourite thing is the RP and the connection a great party can have. While it’s always fun to kick some monster butt nothing beats a story plot twist, uncovering other players backstories or just the goofs that happen during downtime! I think one of the best parts of DnD is when a party fully dives into their characters and witnessing the good and bad things that happen as they grow and change is just such a blast. What do you not enjoy?: From a DM standpoint having a party that doesn’t want to work together is always a deal breaker for me. I love secrets at the table, and don’t think everyone needs to spill all their characters backstory by session one, but players that are excessively secretive or hide things from the party without a reason are also one of the darker parts of D&D. Basically I love D&D for the fact that it is a collective story and anything that takes away from that kinda deters me.  Does the time work for you?: Yup! Assuming my math is right this should be 5pm BST which works great for me atm. I am working from home right now tho and once it gets to summer I’ll be back in the office and will probably spend the first 15 minutes of the game commuting from work to my apartment, so not sure if this is an issue. Anything else I should know?: Nope! Really looking forward to seeing the team you put together and good luck with the game ❤️
