Composition: Eldritch Knight, Life Cleric, Totem Barbarian, Bard Welcome one and all to Wildemount, this fantastically land
is a wonderful sandbox for your D&D pleasure, brought to you by me DM
Mystic. Our epic adventure begins on the not too far from the jewel of the
Menagerie coast, Port Damali. For one reason or another, your character will
find themselves in Palma Flora, whether it be to enjoy a peaceful retreat or
the thrill of shark hunting, or whatever marvelous inventive reason your own
design. All aboard! The waters look calm, warm, and inviting, but beneath the waves
there is a mystery to unravel! The party, after surviving the Sinking of Palma flora found themselves
aboard a Rivalry pirate vessel Captained by Three Earring. After tenuous negotiations,
the party struck an accord with the charismatic tabaxi and set for port at Bisaft
Post. During your time there you discovered a nefarious plot, a growing goblin
army was forming. Lead none other than Lucinda Briarwood, the daughter of Sylas
and Delilah Briarwood. Though these goblins were twisted, deformed, augmented
by some foreign technology, and robbed of their free will. Ultimately through you parties’ efforts you thwarted whatever
plan Lucinda was plotting and sent her fleeing from the Island. During their exploits
on the Island you befriended a tribe of Sahuagin who found themselves refugees,
ostracized by the fanatical Selachai. High Priestess to Uk’atoa, who commanded
the devastation of Palma flora in his name. Delving deeper into the unexplored jungles of Bisaft Post
you discovered a temple to Uk’atoa. Inside you found cult members in active worship,
performing a ritual rite. Jumping into action the party halted the rite but
were unable to ascertain a significant knowledge. Recovering only a religious
book that mentally overwhelmed any who touched it. Pushing forward into the
bowls of the temple you discovered a wicked creature, a Sea Naga. After a hard-fought
battle you found the prize, it was guarding was a Luxon beacon. Completing their preparation and with the spoils of their adventures,
they set forth to Palma Flora. Aboard their own vessel, fully crewed and free
of any obligation to Three Earrings. Upon arrival to Palma Flora, they
attempted to negotiate with the fanatical Selachai, but negotiations quickly broke
down and bloodshed ensued. This skirmish resulted in the death of the Sahuagins’
religious leader, in turn reprisal was no exacted on the party. Rather the full
measure of their rage was taken out on the remaining denizens of Palma Flora. The second battle for Palma Flora was far more intense than
the original invasion. No retreat, no quarter asked, the party had to call upon
it is their trump card: Urisic, a Mercurial dragon you had befriend on Bisaft
post. The ancient metallic dragon bellowing his mighty roar and unleashing his
breath weapon sent the Sahuagin scattering, saving the party from certain doom. The town in tatters, its people devastated, our heroes selfless
in face of grave injury and exhaustion began to undertake a search and rescue efforts.
Urisic, gifted in the arcane help as much as he could their desperate effort.
Many were saved, but more were lost. After giving into exhaustion the party
slept. Awakened and embittered by the tragedy the party dove into the serene waters
of Palma Flora. Down into the ruins of the sunken palma flora, to recover
within a singular chest. Dragging it to shore, wrestling it open, you
discovered it was a portal. To the Fey Wild. Nothing to lose and left with more
questions than answers the party delved head long into adventure, to the fey
wild and beyond!! 1)
Cursing is allowed at my table, but I request that it be used as a tactic for
the purpose of character building and authenticity—in other words, in
moderation. Keep the nature of your vulgarity and the comfort of your-mates in
mind. If you are asked to tone down your use of vulgarity or avoid a particular
use of it in the future, be mindful of that request. 2) Be
respectful of the time people spend in the spotlight. Please, try to keep
talking over one another to a minimum. Granted, we will all be getting to know
one another, and over time we should develop a rapport that will avoid such
issues. As a good rule of thumb, use roll20’s typed-chat feature in between
turns when initiating a moment of RP while another party member is currently
RPing; use discord’s similar feature when speaking OOC or cracking jokes.
3)
Mic check! We have all been in a game where we heard the background of another
player’s mic. This can and does diminish the fluidity of the game as well as
people’s enjoyment. No one needs to hear the crunch of your snack between
rounds of combat! Make sure to mute yourself while eating, or else avoid eating
during the game. 4)
The majority of this game will be run rules as written. If you want to do
something on the fly that bends the rules but does not outright break them, the
rule of cool comes into effect! During a game, my decision is final. You may
contact me privately if a ruling raises concern. I may choose to alter future decisions
based on your expressed argument, but I also reserve the right to keep my
original ruling. Do not bog down playtime with debate. Though, I am fine with a
“rules lawyer” helping the table by briefly citing an arcane and often
forgotten rule or trying to elevate the game during epic moments, but once I
make a call, leave contention and debate for post-game discussion. 5) I
respectfully require 24 hours cancellation notice. During the 24 hours prior to
play, I plan out the game. If someone cancels at the last minute, then a lot of
this planning goes to waste.
Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice and not
showing up will be considered a No Show. Too many No Shows and you will be
removed from the game. Exceptions will be made for family emergencies and other
unexpected things. 6)
Follow “Wheaton’s Law” (Don’t be a dick) and have fun! What you can expect from me: I am light-hearted, easy going and have a great sense of
humor, I am here to have as much fun if not more than you guys! I really do
strive to put you in that world, in that moment and help you fully realize in
vivid description how cool and bad ass your character and your actions are.
Conversely, actions do have consequences, so things can go sideways if you
murder hobo! This will of course vary with each person and each group I run,
but I am for a 30% RP, 10-15% exploration and the rest combat. I will by no
means will ever make you RP if you do not want to, but I do reward good RP and
inventive thinking more than combat XP. I run a mix of XP and milestone type
system, that account for attendance, so if you miss a whole bunch of games, you
might be a level or two behind the rest of the party, which is totally fine!
Life happens, it is what it is, Now for the nitty Gritty: I love providing an immersive experience, I will be using a
soundboard through discord for background noise, ambient sounds, battle music
and sound effects. I use a voice mod app to give each NPC their own sound,
because I am not a voice actor! I am putting in a ton of effort to make this a
memorable, please have a good headset so you can take full advantage of my
efforts. There is a choice to be made right of the bat... Roll for stats OR
take point buy once you have decided there's no going back until that character
either gets written out or dies (which you can completely do the 1st session if
you want). Next Variant human is okay and every other race that is within my
compendium! This is pay to play, for anyone interested in joining or
have any question hit me up on discord:
