Hey there! We are a group for Victorian Age Vampire and are on our third campaign (fourth, if including side-campaigns) and have played a good few years together. Every now and then though I run out of creative energy and need a break from GMing. Due to the setup of our group [interfacing with the Dark Ages group] currently no other player has capacities to take over when this point arrives again. We would, however, very much like to keep going and are therefore looking for one more person to join our group. [There is a possibility to extend this to our parallel Dark Ages group, which only has two players, and is even moodier and very focused on Tremere.] What, and who, we are: We started out as an offline group, who at some point when a good friend from Greece visited suddenly became international instead of local. At the beginning of the pandemic we turned into a fully fleshed international group here on Roll20 with two greek players and two german players. One of the german players has recently quit playing, and although 3 players in VtM are plenty, we'd like to fill the spot again. We heavily, heavily focus on roleplaying. We want our characters to have a soul, to have problems, to have worries, and fears, and wants. We do not enjoy interacting with two-dimensional walking character sheets. We are in large parts very interested in history and try to play as historically accurate as possible - weaving real world events into the undead lives of the group. Atmosphere and mood are very important. Things can get very harsh and dark but they are not so all the time. We do try to actually have a group that works together as well as can be - given the fact that they're all vampires. Who are we, as real people? Two women, and two men, one greek/one german each. Nobody in the group is younger than 35. We all have years of roleplaying under our belts, and the majority of us has spent those years within the World of Darkness. Thus, we still play the old school stuff. 2nd revised mostly, but having embraced a lot of the 20th anniversary additions. We regularly sit around discussing differences between books and adjusting house rules to what we feel fits best with both the group and the wider World of Darkness. We're friends in real life, too, and would want to get to know you before playing and see that everybody likes one another. What do we want? We'd like someone to join who shares our roleplaying preferences and focus on mood and character play. We'd also like for you to start into the group as a player, knowing that half a year from now, or so, you might be taking over for a length of time, to run your own campaign with the same group and setting. It would be great, obviously, if you had some VtM/Victorian Vampire/Dark Ages experience under your belt as well and knew that you have the time to put some effort into GMing. We are looking for someone who has a thing for playing experiences, and character growth. Our group currently has two Tremere and one Malkavian. It would be great if that sounds good to you :) We play in a Camarilla setting and the original characters started out as newbies. Obviously new player characters would be caught up to the general level of the group. [The Dark Ages group consists of one Tremere vampire and one Tremere mage - although no Camarilla yet exists we are not looking for people who want to play Baali or Setites.] Both groups want characters - and players - who can play well _with_ them. Not against them. No psychopaths, no rambos. We play characters who know they could be monsters but try not to be. We play every second week, alternating between fridays and sundays and start at 5pm german / 6 pm greek time. Everybody is fluent in English and we play in English. The Dark Ages group plays every other week on sundays, at the same time. So, if all those things sound good to you, drop us a few lines, tell us about yourself!
