Dear aspiring adventurer, As the rain cold rain bounces down of your face and you make your way through the now deserted outpost you see the floor is littered with bodies and limbs rotting in the mud. The corpse's face's still frozen in horror you exchange concerning glances with your party members. Suddenly a cry, a whimper can be heard deeper into the camp. A sound so sad it tears at your emotions like a mother to a babe you make your way through the grimness as the scent of decaying flesh lingers around your runny nostrils. Up ahead you see a woman in a blood-soaked white dress slouched against a dead horse, her head in her hands weeping she sits there almost still. After a short deliberation you approach and crouch down eye level with the woman the whole time she never moves, and you whisper to her gently “Sigmar has sent us my lady, you are saved” she stops weeping and slowly brings her head out of her hands revealing gorgeous sky blue eyes. She looks at you with hope full weepy eyes and for a moment you sense relief coming off this poor soul. Her eyes suddenly open wide and her face goes whiter still as her expression turns to horror. The hairs on the back of your neck stand up as her arm raises and points over your shoulder “Behind you..” she whispers in an angel-like voice. Your heart beating nearly out of your chest, hand on your hilt you spin round to face the monster gritting your teeth and finding your resolve. To your confusion, there is nothing there and for a moment you ponder what in the old world is going on? Suddenly you feel cold air in your left ear and a gentle whisper in the same angelic tone belonging to the woman “I said behind you” and a sharp pain erupts from your chest leaving you breathless and in unspeakable agony. Looking down you see a woman's hand reaching out of your chest holding your heart still pumping blood. You don't feel the pain anymore, you don't feel anything, you don't have time to formalize any final thoughts. You die alone and confused like the many that came before you as your world turns black. The old world is not a very forgiving place... My name is Jimmy, I'm 29 and from the UK. I grew up on Warhammer and RPGs and am still obsessed with the world and the systems that represent them. I have been a Game Master for over a decade and have countless hours of experience. I know a huge amount about the Warhammer lore and have extensive knowledge and experience in representing the grimdark old world. We will be playing on Roll20, playing the 4th edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, and will be free anytime to answer questions or help in any way I can. I will be running the Enemy Within campaign from Cubicle 7 which is a very popular and famous adventure series. There will also be tons of side quests you can ignore or follow and I will also develop your characters with personalized plots and NPC's to really bring your character to life. While I am aiming for Tuesday nights at 8:00pm UTC-0, I am very flexible and this is more of a placeholder time, I want to get the group together first and see what fits best. I can run it any day so please feel free to enquire as to the date and the time may change as I develop the party over the course of the following month. Campaign synopsis - “On the surface, the Empire is all but invincible. It is the greatest of the Old World’s realms, both in extent and in military might. Founded two and a half millennia ago, it has withstood countless assaults by Greenskins, Skaven, Chaos, and its many neighbors. Beneath the banner of the twin-tailed comet, emblem of its founder-god Sigmar Heldenhammer, the State Armies of the Empire take to the field behind their mighty Griffon-riding Emperor, confident of victory. However, scratch the surface and peer just beneath, and things take on a different aspect. There are worrying rumors concerning the Emperor’s health, and he hasn’t been near his Griffon for months. Deep in the remote forests of this vast realm, Beastmen and worse still lurk, even though the forces of Chaos were expelled from the land two centuries ago. The taint of Chaos touches everywhere, inflicting strange mutations that force good folk to hide from their neighbors or face the flames of the witch hunters. Strange and secretive cults worship blasphemous gods with titles like ‘the Changer of the Ways’, ‘the Prince of Pleasure’ and ‘the Father of Decay’. Beyond the Empire’s borders, past the icy fringes of Kislev and Norsca, the swelling forces of Chaos inhabit the twisted and unnatural Northern Chaos Wastes. Leaders rise and fall, amassing armies to raid and plunder, only to have them disperse again. It has been two centuries since any Champion of Chaos has arisen with the strength to unite the Enemy Without. But rumor suggests a new Chosen of the Ruinous Powers walks the north and is binding the warlike tribes together. So, the rulers of the Old World do not relax their vigilance. They keep their eyes steadily on this terrible external threat. And, in doing so, they overlook the Enemy Within” I believe in complete transparency from the onset. This is a paid game purely because of the number of hours and resources I have to maintain in order to run the campaign to the most professional level. This includes software subscriptions and purchases I need to bring the game to life. Games will involve detailed maps, epic songs, and of course in-depth plots you can develop. Each session will be $17 and last 4 hours with a 5-minute break 2 hours in. The campaign length will depend on how many side quests the party wants to engage in. However, I can estimate it will be essentially a minimum of 25 sessions. The first session is always free so you can determine if my GM style is for you. Payments will be made on PayPal before the session. I require 3 more players to start the campaign but will be aiming for an extra 1 (for a total of 5) and the start date will be the beginning of June giving everyone time to develop their character backgrounds and me time to find players. I can also support anyone's special requirements so do not be shy. So please come and join me on this grimdark adventure across the Old World. Do you have what it takes to traverse the perilous world of Warhammer Fantasy. For any more questions please feel free to message me and I will get back to you right away.
