Have you ever wanted to play the villain? To do the work of an evil deity? Or spill blood for coin with no remorse? This is a villain's game! Being a non-standard game, there will be restrictions for both origin and figure of worship. This campaign will take elements and inspiration from Rise of Tiamat, but not follow the adventure or take place in the Forgotten Realms. If you have played that module you won't be re-experiencing any of the content therein.    Campaign Overview   The Cult of the Myriad Scales is your family or employer, and they are dead set on resurrecting the dark god Tiamat. If you are a worshipper, the cult is your family. They provide you comfort, shelter, camaraderie. They operate as many real-world cults do - a mixture of abuse and kindness to keep you entwined in their designs. If you are a mercenary your true love is gold, and the Myriad Scales pays well.   Your objectives as Initiates are to be the boots on the ground for the Wyrmspeakers. Missions will be handed down to you, and objectives are to be completed at your discretion. The campaign will be semi-open with a selection of tasks to be done in succession. Keep your suspicion vs. the forces of good down; and bring glory, treasure, and allies to your cause.   Roleplay, Characters & You   It is of vital importance to be a competent roleplayer. Participating in a villainous game is a difficult task. Playing the adversary is a unique experience only if executed in that manner. I appreciate those who invest themselves in worlds, are excited about roleplay, and enjoy crafting a character's story as they explore and interact with the setting and each other. I have a severe preference for players taking the character they play seriously. Absolutely no PvP.   Maintenance of tone and verisimilitude is imperative. Joking, gallows humor, and fun in character when grounded to the world, is entirely acceptable. Memes, excessive silliness, randomness is not acceptable. (Of course, it's fine out of character, we're here to have fun! Just don't bring it into your play.)   I am looking for 4 to 5 players to start this campaign at level 1. Preference for playtimes on Saturday/Weekend for a few hours weekly or bi-weekly. I am in the PST time zone. A microphone and discord are required.
