Unable to edit npc sheets

HI When ever I try to add an action to an existing npc sheet the new action will not close when clicking the cog. Attempting to edit / close any of the actions will cause another action to open or be duplicated. Only seems to be happening in one of my games, attempted to rollback but does not work either. Ive tried putting in a ticket but from reading other posts not hopeful on a speedy reply. Has anyone else had this?

Are you using an unsupported browser? Does the behavior happen in a private browsing window?
Ive tried using chrome, firefox and Microsoft edge. Private browsing as well. It appears the update has borked a number of sheets. Some sheets are working fine, Ive tried character mancering the effected npcs to another game and issue still happens there as well. If I remove all actions and legendary actions I can create new ones on the sheets without them getting all messed up. Rather frustrating.

Which update are you talking about? I haven't seen this particular bug reported before.
I'm assuming the may 4th one unless theres been any others? I went through and tested a number of characters but I couldnt find any link between the few that had the issue. One was made from scratch and others were edited tokens but other edited tokens and other fresh ones worked fine. But the ones with the issue kept the issue if I duplicated them or moved them to another game. I wanted to copy the game and try a rollback to find when it started but none of my last 7 back ups worked...

Roll20 has a lot of moving parts. The May 4 update was concerning UDL primarily, plus some minor tweaks to token settings. It shouldn't have had anything to do with characters. But let's try and track down exactly what's going on. When you say you are editing actions, do you mean the actions that appear on the actual character sheet, or actions on the Actions and Abilities tab? And if you could give some specific repro steps, I'll see if I can duplicate here. I have seen some other bugs regarding creating fresh NPCs. Not identical to yours, but with more info a pattern might appear.
Thanks, It was happening when viewing the character sheet in npc mode. When I tried to add an action or legendary action using the + sign I would get the usual name and attack box's but the moment I typed in the description box it will move the name to the top of action list and place other actions between the title and description box. The actions then cannot be closed, happens for legendary and normal actions area.  I have a copy of one of the sheets in its broken state so I can test / grab any info thats helpful. My first assumption was a browser issue but noticed it was only on a small number of sheets.

That is very strange. If you can indeed make this happen consistently (I can't duplicate it here) I would suggest capturing a Console Log ( Chrome ,  Firefox ) from the time in which you perform these actions and filing a  Help Center Request . Is it something you can work around for the time being (just those few characters), or is it something that keeps occurring on new characters?
I will pm you a video link
I can work around it, I thought it was going to be on all sheets but its only been on a few

I see what you mean. They do look like they are displaying corrupted behavior. If it's only a few, I don't know if it's worth the effort of filing a report and waiting for resolution. It might be better to just trash the offenders and move on, as you say. Your call, though.
A little scary having corruption in a game world thats been going for 7 years while back ups aren't working, will be making periodic copies haha.

I know I do. I also keep a  Library Campaign .
Thats a very good idea! My group was only talking the other week about how games have been getting slower to load as the assets increase. Will forward this on.
Hi, so this issue is happening to ALL of my npc sheets across all of my games.

I'll post some Troubleshooting checklist below the horizontal rule. If they don't help nail down a cause, the best bet is to capture a Console Log ( Chrome ,  Firefox ) and file a  Help Center Request . Could you please carefully work through these steps of our guide to  Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 4 .  (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
