Another Deck of Cards Question

As Mentioned in other posts I've been working on uploading, Aliens Another Glorious Day in the corp.  For the most part with HUGE help from Tim!, everything seems like the board game will work as it would if you were directly in front of it.  The only issues I've got that I can't really figure out how to make work are the Deck of Cards as they seem to have VERY serious limitations (but I'm a noob, what do I know!) So the pic below is directly from the game and how the dec of cards work in the game.  There are 2 main decks (there are more but I'm not adding them till I have more time so we're just playing the base game/1 modified expansion) since its all of ours first time playing.  Issue 1 )  The Motion Tracker deck Specific rules that has you select 10 cards in total from Threat Level 1 & Threat Level 2 (3 threat levels in total), then you randomly shuffle the rest and place those 10 on top the deck.  Each Mission (we're only running 3 of the 5) also have different rules to what you do at the beginning and end of the mission if everyone doesn't die. :D Issue 2)   Endurance Cards. These cards have a wide range of use and actions to them.  Multiple Decks at any given time, going through said decks and even returning cards to the bottom of the main deck.  To help better explain I've posted the rules for them below.  Some of the things I've figured out but some I can't figure out how to manage in game without having too many cards in the main deck, or not enough, or incorrectly shuffled, etc. Issue 3)   Adding and Removing Cards .  So when playing either with the base game or with the expansion packs we need to add or remove additional cards to the above decks the only way I can figure out how to do this is by going through the deck of cards and deleting the ones I don't want, and when I need them add them back in again. My only answer to any of these issues is, upload LOTS and LOTS of various Decks which sounds like a nightmare when you can't mass upload a deck of cards and you have to do each one, one at a time.

I'll think about your 3 use-cases and see if I can recommend anything specific. Generally, your last sentence, final conclusion, is about right.  It's going to be difficult and in some cases impossible without doing Workarounds.  Of course yes there are ways to recreate & play your game, at least using some sort of workarounds.  There's little to no hope of achieving all of those Card Deck actions elegantly with the current built-in card deck features.   The card deck feature needs a lot of love & upgrades. The multiple-card upload feature was introduced months ago but it's been broken and no answers from Roll20 team about that question. I'll come back later if I think of specific workarounds or solutions. For now you're on the right track with needing to create a Lot of decks to accommodate this game type, due to some of the game's mechanics and the limitations of Roll20's card deck features.

The ugly answer, of course, is you could just play the entire deck(s) to the VTT in a close approximation of a stack and treat it like you would around a table. That's tedious, because you can't "Play" or "Deal" all the cards to the VTT, they have to go to players hands first, but you can just drag them off the deck onto the VTT directly, one by one. You'd want to make sure the settings are set to play Face down. There may be an API that could deal them all to the VTT by default, but I don't know...
Thanks Gold.  That would be awesome.  We did finally play our first attempt at the board game online.  For the most part it went fairly well, everything worked for the most part but in the end, the card system was our biggest challenge to the point that I had the physical decks in front of me, to simulate the actions we couldn't do on Roll20.  Which was, in a sense frustrating. lol.  So I am all for them reworking the system to allow for more options in regards to the current mechanics.  Also the game we played last night only had 2 decks.  While I have....4 more types of decks I want to add into the game.  2 of them for when someone plays as the Aliens. :D Mind the drawings.  My friends discovered the drawing tool in Roll20. lol Gold said: I'll think about your 3 use-cases and see if I can recommend anything specific.
