New Player to D&D 4E, need group to show me the ropes.

Hello, I'm a new player to D&D 4e and have a general understanding of the rules, but have a long way to go. I would love to get picked up by an existing or newly formed group that is friendly and willing to teach me more about the game while having fun playing it. Either campaigns or one shots are fine by me. I have a microphone and skype that work well. I would be willing to play any class, and I'm pretty good at role playing ( in my head at least haha). I live in Eastern time zone which I believe is GMT-5. Thank you.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I've already got two people (including me) but we need a GM to set up the story for us. https://app.roll20.net/join/105673/qLhqfg
If you want to do some more active looking instead of waiting for a DM to post here... Click "looking for group" in the big blue roll20 toolbar above, use key words dnd 4e/d&d 4e/d&d 4th (they sometimes get different results) and make sure to check the box that says welcoming new players (you could try without that and see if they welcome new players in description). Post an application. It can be helpful to have a character created, but other times a party may need a specific roll. I don't do 4th, but I wish you luck.
I run a 4e group 2-3 times a week. Times are a bit late so if that is an issue you're going to want to keep scrolling. While we have 20 some-odd players RL schedule does mean that not everyone can show up as much as they would like. What does this mean for you? Play time :3. If you are interested just shoot me a PM and I'll send an invite link. The next session is currently listed as Sunday evening 2100 CST :)
