This adventure came with pre-gens . However, if you'd like to use your own characters using the Basic rules , that's fine with me. Regardless of pre-gen or custom, everyone starts at level 1. The pre-gens are as follows : Human Fighter (Folk hero) Human Fighter (Noble) High Elf Wizard Lightfoot Halfling Rogue Hill Dwarf Cleric Please post your PC ideas (or pre-gen "dibs") here. Don't worry about party balance - play what you want and we'll figure it out. Edit: Current Standings: Player Character Class Race Type Cody Muradin Ironfist Fighter Mountain Dwarf Custom Joseph Quinver Tealeaf Cleric Lightfoot Halfling Custom Dee Thoradin Goblinslayer Fighter Mountain Dwarf Custom Jeff Finshire Trickfoot Rogue Lightfoot Halfling Pregen Jason Henry/Zud Wizard Hill Dwarf Custom Robert Wizard High Elf Pregen (mostly)
If it's alright, I'll be making a Dwarf Fighter using the Point Buy system.
I've never played a healer role, so I'll be playing a Halfling Cleric that I have mostly made using point buy, if everybody is alright with that.
I will play a Hill Dwarf Cleric. I am going to run with the pregen.
I woudn't mind playing the Pre Gen. charcter Halfling rogue.
I think I might choose something else-- I went over the pregen cleric and I am really not feeling it. I will come up with some ideas tomorrow and update everyone.
So I have decided to go with a Mountain Dwarf fighter and I will use the point buy system.
For the point buy-- is 30 acceptable?
I've not seen the High Elf Wizard, where is his character sheet available? He sounds interesting and, at the very least, could provide some inspiration for a custom character.

Dwarf Here is a link to my character sheet-- I THINK I did everything correctly. Let me know.
Dee, Don't you get a -1 to your Cha based skills because that's your Cha mod? And also, with proficiency, wouldn't you gain pluses to those skills you're proficient in? I know that's how it works in 4e, but Next may be entirely different. Let me know if I'm wrong.
I am not sure. I haven't played 4e-- I went step by step in the Basic Rules, but I could have missed something (flipping through a .pdf is so complicated-- I prefer print.).
Clickity click for the Pregen character sheets
If I may ask, where'd you get the Scale-mail from? I'm making the same character- Dwarf Fighter and I don't see anywhere where it offers that particular armor.

Dee: 30 point buy is fine. I'm assuming your sheet includes the Mountain Dwarf +2 to STR and CON? Why is your CHA at -1 if you have a score of 10? It looks like you chose Athletics & Survival as your trained skills, correct? If so, you get your proficiency bonus (currently +2) in addition to your corresponding ability bonus. Don't forget that your Folk Hero background gives you proficiency in Animal Handling & Survival as well.
Anyway, here's my sheet. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Byp5ukcGMnoYUGhXN0... Tell me if anything's wrong with it so I can change it. And yes, I'm aware that the Profs are redundant. I forgot to edit it before I uploaded it.
My CHA is -1 because I thought Dwarves still had that racial trait (+1 CON/ -1 CHA) Yes my sheet includes the Mountain Dwarf bonuses And good catch on the Athletics and Survival bonuses. Thanks for the input!
Cody: Scale Mail was in the Basic Rulebook.

So we can have the option to buy at 30 instead of 27? Could help bump up that third stat.
Hey guys I got my character finished. Let me know if you see anything I need to change or fix. Quinver Tealeaf .

Looks good. My question would be what 1st level spells do you have prepared, and how many spells do you know? I thought Clr/ Wiz were the same for spells known modifiy+ level for spells known. In your case +2 mod +lv1 3 spells known, and you have 2 spell slots to cast. The munchkin group is looking really good though.

I've got that I can have cleric level + wisdom modifier prepared spells, in addition to the two always prepared spells for the life domain. That puts me at 5 prepared, but I only have 2 slots available for casting. I've got Bless and Cure wounds from my domain, and then Detect Magic, Inflict Wounds, and Sanctuary. That sound about right?
Do you want to start another thread for background stories? I've had some interesting ideas for mine.

Think I'ma roll up a Mountain Dwarf Wizard.
Ya, didn't take in account of the two spells from your domain that are always prepared Joseph

Thanks for the input! Did someone ever correct this? In the new D&D there are no negative racial modifiers. As a dwarf you get +2 CON with a +2 STR subrace bonus.
Yeah. I was pleased to see that. :)
Hey actually just to let you know I changed Henry to Hill Dwarf when I rolled him up. It fit in better with the lore of Wild Dwarves and Gold Dwarves.
