We need one more player! This group is 5 sessions in and just about to explore Barovia! Perfect time for you to jump in! Games are $45/Month via PayPal Shoot me a PM with intro and character concept! This group is a safe place to game with a great group of roleplayers.      Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the darkness. Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles of his face and hands. He has a look of power—and of madness. His once handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they have come—all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them. Another lightning flash rips through the darkness, its thunder echoing through the castle’s towers. But Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind—or perhaps a lone wolf—fills the midnight air. The master of Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited. This is one of the greatest modules ever released for any version of D&D. You're going to have a blast playing it with me. Who are you? My name is Ben, and I am 38 years old with over 20 years experience in D&D as both player and DM (paid and not). I just love the roleplay aspect of D&D and love players who interact with NPCs and eachother without too much prompt from me. This is your tale I am just setting the scene and there to drop hints when needed. I prefer to run this campaign as more of a sandbox of exploration once you’re past level 4.  I'm very flexible with game times, but I would just like to make you international heroes aware that I'm located in Washington, USA PST time zone. I’m will to start the game +/- 1 hour of the posted time. Session zero will be April 15th 1800 PST though. Why are you charging for this? Roll20 is a magnificent tool for playing roleplaying games but it’s very difficult to keep a regular group together. Players willing to commit their hard-earned cash to a game brings a certain kind of person to the digital table. In my experience, they’re the best folks to play with online. Furthermore, I love D&D and I want more money to invest in Roll20’s marketplace. Every dollar I make from this campaign will be spent on more content from the store or other PDFs to run games on Roll20. If the players spot something worth paying for and want it adding to the game, it’s likely I’ll have found my next purchase. What am I Paying For? Extensive experience with DMing, D&D, 5e and even CoS – this will be my second time running it and third time playing it in 5th edition. Official Curse of Strahd WotC/Roll20 content. Official Monster Manual WotC/Roll20 content. Official Volo’s Guide WotC/Roll20 content. Official Storm King's Thunder WotC/Roll20 content. Official Tales of the Yawning Portal WotC/Roll20 content. One hour prep minimum and three-hour sessions every week. Available most hours of the day for help and questions. Included in the Roll20 version of Curse of Strahd: Original Castle Ravenloft maps in top-down format, exclusive to the Roll20 version for easier use with the virtual tabletop. Isometric Castle Ravenloft maps included for reference as player handouts, and also as interactive maps on the tabletop. I also include custom maps I’ve designed via Inkarnate for your extended combat pleasures! What do I expect from my players? Respect for all players. The character you’re playing might be a complete arsehole but it’s important that you’re not. Everyone playing is responsible for everyone else having a good time. I’ve no time or patience for abusive behavior of any kind. “its what my player would do” is not an excuse to be disrespectful. We are all here to have fun! Positive attitude. You might know every line of the rulebook and Faerun’s every nook and cranny. Newer players might not. Help players out where you can but don’t run their characters for them. This is a decent article and worth a read. No metagaming. We’re all here to tell a good story. It’s no problem if you’ve read Storm King’s Thunder, but your character hasn’t. It’s no problem if this feels like a hobgoblin setup, but does your character spot that? And to help prevent metagaming I may restat monsters. Good grasp of English. I don’t mind where you come from. Playing with people from all over the world is wonderful but enjoying these D&D sessions will require you to be confident with the common tongue. Speaking Giant will help too but it’s not mandatory. PayPal. PayPal is the safest way to fund these sessions. Refunds will be case by case situation. Session cancelations must be made 24hrs prior to the game out of respect for the players and the GM. Other than that all sales are final. Discord. Discord is a VoiP app and superior to Skype in every way. I’m ok with both Video/audio or just audio. I understand sometimes that people are shy but I would love to get a group comfortable with showing their faces! COVID has made me miss in person gaming! A Quiet Place To Play. I’ve got a lovely sound setup here  and I don’t expect you to be insane enough to spend as much money as I do on audio kit. But it would be fantastic if you don’t join us using a laptop mic while scaling up the side of the world’s windiest cliff. What content is legal? Anything with WotC’s fingers on it is legal. Core, supplements and maybe some Unearthed Arcana.  I use Standard array / points buy in my games and allow variant human and multi-classing.  I don’t track xp either and use the “milestones” for levelling people up. It’s far superior for storytelling and makes D&D much less “gamey”. Cool. I’m down for this. What should I do? Please PM me or make a post in the games forum below. Let me know a bit about you, the character you want to play and ideally when you’d like your three hour sessions to be.
