[LFP][Free][5e][Sat][6/7-10/11pm][EST] DM/Player looking for Players and another DM/Player

Welcome new and experienced players, I am looking for cooperative, supportive, enthusiastic people who are excited about having some epic adventures! Hi all, I’m Sherlock and I am putting together a group to play D&D5e on Roll20 and Discord during Saturday evenings around 6 or 7pm to 10 or 11pm EST . The goal is to have a group of 5-6, with 2 (or more) people who can DM. Ideally, the two DMs would alternate running an official campaign (long-term) or game every couple of weeks, or whenever the natural break would be. So, 5-6 people, 2 games with 2 different DMs, 2 characters (1 for each game-if you’re not a DM). I will be one of the DMs and I am leaning towards running The Curse of Strahd (2 nd run) or Storm King’s Thunder.   My D&D background includes over 15 years of TTRPG experience, although mostly in 1st & 2nd ed. and many years ago. For the last 4 years I've been playing 5e and gaming on Roll20, almost exclusively as DM.   I have an old-school influence, so I tend to run a challenging game (e.g., creatures use tactics according to their abilities, some may try to kill and eat you, etc.). Players who know or learn the importance or planning, strategy, and knowing thine enemy will fare better. I invest heavily in my games, spending a good amount of effort setting up encounters, weaving storylines, making custom handouts, and setting up killer themed soundtracks.     Please do not apply if you are a rules lawyer , i.e. someone who: Can't understand that a DM will overrule the rules when necessary. Will meticulously follow any poorly worded loophole in the written rules to get away with total BS. Will meticulously follow any written rule in order to shut down a character that isn't their own. Will conveniently forget the above when it benefits them. Argues often about rules interpretation. Objects to any actions not specifically supported by the rules. Is a metagamer at the table (e.g., upset when a monster isn't exactly as it appears in the book).   *If you are interested, please take a moment to tell me something about yourself below or send me a message. Name: Pronouns: Age range: Timezone:   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e?  How long have you used roll20?  Please list any pet peeves you may have:  What do you love about D&D?  Tell me about yourself: (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.)  What are you looking for from the group and from the game?  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? What do you bring to the virtual table? What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? What interests you the most about this opportunity? What hesitations do you have about this group?   Thank you for taking the time go through this process. It is my hope that a more thorough matching process might encourage a more cohesive and resilient group capable of long-term campaigning and epic questing.   ~Sherlock Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0in; mso-para-margin-right:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:8.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0in; line-height:107%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;}
Name: Anton but I am referred and response better to redbeard Pronouns: Male pronouns Age range: I am 27 Timezone: I am in GMT+2   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e? 5 years  How long have you used roll20? 4000hours of roll20  Please list any pet peeves you may have: Can't think of any atm?  What do you love about D&D? It is a good place to meet new friends, explore new stories and have fun. Good place to invest time in when you have some free time.  Tell me about yourself: I am a viking lover. I love the lore behind norse mythology. I like reading alot of stuff and watch series when I happen to have free time!  What are you looking for from the group and from the game? I am looking to invest my time and commitment to have some fun with other people together. To enjoy D&D and all there there is to D&D  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? I usually like to play the filler role but I usually end up playing the rogue or the barbarian. I like both rp and combat equally. I don't like beer but I am more of a rum kind of guy. Some serious with a mix of non serious works too. What do you bring to the virtual table? Good humour, flexibility and good ideas for both rp and problemsolving. (these do not include math puzzles) What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? If I am playing a tank, then it is usually dwarf, goliath or half orc. If rogue then usually haflings or tabaxi or grungs. What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? I like to play rogues and barbarians usually but if both are taken I usually stick to play what is needed for the group. I will play everything *except paladins* What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? I just finished rime of the frostmaiden so basically any long ones. What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? I am ok with new stuff. Always nice to explore new options and things. What interests you the most about this opportunity? To be able to play together with other people. It is fairly difficult to play D&D by yourself. It is also to make new and hopefully lasting memories. What hesitations do you have about this group? Hmm not sure I have any?
Hi my name is Scott Age. 48 Time zone. Central How long have I been playing d&d 36 years all the way back to basic I started playing 1985 How long have I been using roll 20    42 hours Pet peeves. None What do I love about d&d.   For a few hours I can be someone else enjoying a group of friends playing and adventure you both like doing sharing adventure triumphs and tradgey Tell me about yourself.  I'm an easy going fellow I make people laugh have a good time,always in a good mood.  I have 2 dogs 2 cats 2 rats accidentally have 7 ginni pigs thought they were both girls ohhhf.  I enjoy video games mainly rpg.  I like reading books r.a salvatore my favorite author(got his autogray on legacy in 92). Former us army spent 6 years there married no kids got married a little late. Looking from the group.  Have a fun time be courteous to people we all come to play so don't get upset does something u don't agree with that's what his or her chacter will do it's rpg. Play style.  I don't really have one it depends on my chacter if his serious then I play serious if his funny than I play funny. What do I bring to the table .  A great role player with years of experience.  I'm easy going a good team player good strategest and a good guy and a great sense of humor,also listens for ides and suggestion from teammates. I like playing all races if I have to lean towards what race I would say the ones no one likes to play like genasai,kobolds Classes I like to play I have played all the classes if I would vavor the most I would say monk.  My weirdest chacter I ever made was a necromancer minotaur made it because 1 had a cool backstory 2.  No one ever thought I found it they think if minotaur as just a midless thug but boy he was fun to play. What adventure would u like to play.  Seeing I'm a drizzt nut the icewind dale one. Interest in new source material.   New stuff is cool d&d keeps on expanding and so we must also. What interest u for this opportunity.  To meet new people.  Hard to get in a group of people for d&d now a days so finding a group for a steady campaign should be a privlage to play d&d not many people as a hole realize how special and amazing this game really is but me I get it. What hesitation do I have about this group.  None just what to enjoy playing and gave fun squashing some goblins and laughing at unexpected things.
Name: Shawn      Pronouns:Im male      Age range: 43 Timezone:pst   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e? My brothers (10 and 12 years older) needed an extra player when I was a kid. So, 1983-84 was my first dnd game. Played extensively first and 2nd edition until 2000 or so when mmorpgs took over everyones time, then jumped back into 5th edition about 5 years ago.  How long have you used roll20? Oh almost 2,000 hours worth. I have dm'd half a dozen campaigns, last one was over 2 years before it wrapped up and started back in december with most of the same players a 2nd campaign.  Please list any pet peeves you may have:  People now showing up, not paying attention,  Dm having to repeat themselves again and again. Not knowing their class, holding up combat because they didnt take the time everyone else was going to figure out what they were going to do...  not being respectful to the other players and dm.   What do you love about D&D? The fact that you can step into the shoes of something completely different from yourself, the experiences and fun you can have witih a group of other people.  Tell me about yourself:  (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.) I'm a special education teacher. I can make serious or silly characters, it all depends on the campaign and the DM's and groups preferences. I try to be a team player, and work within the group. Im open to criticism or advice as long as its constructive and not personal.  I enjoy helping new players.  What are you looking for from the group and from the game? A group that is reliable, a DM that puts in the work/effort for their campaign, people that can have fun together.  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? I enjoy a good mix of combat and rp. I like to create a character based on the campaign type. No point in having a barbarian if its a social intrigue campaign after all. As long as everyone is having fun im fine with it. ive been in serious games, and ive been in relaxed style games where we just are farting around having a good time. What do you bring to the virtual table? Experience, reliability, a desire to make the game better for everyone. What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? Any core races im fine with. Not a big fan of strange home brew/monster races unless its a monster campaign. Its hard to explain in most worlds why you are traveling with a troll as a companion when they murder and eat people generally. If the story is good enough however, why not. I've had some bad experiences however with people on roll20 trying to turn dnd into an anime game, which is something I dont enjoy. What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? Wizard, cleric, bard, fighter, barbarian tend to be my go to classes.  What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? Anything but the dragon queen ones, I played it once, and didnt care much for it. What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? Im fine with it. I own all of the source books on roll20 due to being a DM.  What interests you the most about this opportunity? Always fun to play with a new group of people, and since im always a dm would love to be a player. What hesitations do you have about this group? I dont know anyone well enough to have any hesitations yet.
Name: Serena Pronouns: Female Age range: 30+ Timezone: Central   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e?: I am new to 5e. But I started playing 3rd edition and still oftentimes refer to "Perception" as "Spot check" accidentally. I have played pathfinder for years and I am reading up on the rules and stuff and watched a bit of Critical Role. I basically know all the basic tabletop rules but have never played in a 5e Campaign, so I hope you will have patience with me.    How long have you used roll20?: As of last friday, 6 years.   Please list any pet peeves you may have: Murder Hobos and too much hack and slash without story   What do you love about D&D?: It's stepping away from things and having fun. Being able to feel like you are a character in a book and watching the story unfold from your eyes. Playing an interesting race and immersing yourself in that races culture and beliefs.    Tell me about yourself:  (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.): Well I like having fun, I'm pretty laid back and funny. However, I do not let that derail things in a game. I enjoy fantasy type things and even have a webcomic or two that I am working on.   What are you looking for from the group and from the game?: I have this really cool Idea I have been wanting to play. With a deep detailed backstory I wrote up. I hope to be able to interact with the others and learn more about their characters and their backstories through the game. I love role playing and I hope there is plenty of that in the group.   What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.): I like a mixture of everything, but when things get serious is when I get hyper focused cause I love a good story. Though a serious game with light hearted adventurers that enjoy one anothers company or maybe poke an occassional joke at one another. What do you bring to the virtual table?: I can bring original artwork for each persons character (At a price of course). But I relaly immerse myself into whatever role I am playing and try to play that character to the best of my ability.  What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? I would really like to play an Oni-blooded Tiefling =D What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? There is this Ninja class I saw, but I do not know if it is allowed. But something Ninja cause of this Idea I have. What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? I'm down for whatevs! What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? This is my first time hearing about it. What interests you the most about this opportunity? Well to meet new people and have fun! What hesitations do you have about this group? I have met a few groups that didn't work out, or groups that worked out but fell apart after the first session or two.

Name: Lexi (Maunakea) Pronouns: She/her Age range:  Late 20's Timezone: CST (Canada) How long have you been playing D&D? 5e? D&D for about 15 years or so, and 5e since it came out.    How long have you used roll20? For about a year, mostly as a DM. I'm hoping to be a player only for a bit. It's also been a couple months, so I'm probably a bit rusty Please list any pet peeves you may have: Nerfing characters built with rules as written,well after character creation. I had a Pathfinder character once who was admittedly really OP (but also rather specialized, and the ability had a limit, so not unmanageably OP), especially at low levels, due to a smart combination of a class ability and level one spell. I let our party just crush all combats for a bit. My DM ended up nerfing my ability, requiring the use of a third level spell for the same effect. It sucked. As a DM, he should have adjusted combats to be more challenging, or found another work around, rather than nerfing my character who I built pretty much for that ability. She wasn't super good for much else in combat, so he basically made her useless in a fight.  I'm in no way a rules Nazi, but please don't nerf me!  What do you love about D&D? Literally everything. Terrible answer, I know, but it's true. I really love when the party gets into some crazy random shenanigans that like completely go off script. I love the endless possibilities.  Tell me about yourself: (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.) I'm Canadian, play in a bagpipe band, breed reptiles with my sister, used to be a sailor, and used to work as a diesel mechanic. I love heavy metal, anime, gaming, hiking and being outdoors, musicals, and old cartoons. I guess the best word to describe me would be eclectic.  What are you looking for from the group and from the game? Just an easygoing fun time with some good people, and maybe, hopefully, a long term group I can play regularly with.  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? I'm definitely more roleplay heavy than anything else. I love unscripted adventures, interacting in character, and having fun. I'm more into a fun, less serious type of game. I love to play in like epic high fantasy type games, and when I was a DM I would give my characters a very generous point buy to make them feel powerful and cool, and then scale combats to them against more difficult enemies.  What do you bring to the virtual table? I bring a very fun, happy, and relaxed attitude. I bring heavy roleplay, using voices and facial expressions and really getting into character. I'm pretty good at never Meta Gaming, that's another pet peeve of mine I guess. I also tend to fill an always needed role of healer, because a lot of people want to play the cool guy damage dealer, and parties end up missing a healer.  What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? I love to play all races, but I have a special affection for elves, humans, and half elves.  What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? I play a wide variety of classes, mostly magic users. I really like to play tanky healer type characters, so a cleric of war is a easy go to for me. But I do love to play around with other classes to get the same type of character, like the undying warlock I would like to play for one of my characters.  What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? I'm most excited to play Curse of Strahd. I feel like the character I have would fit super well into that campaign. What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? I love it! I'm not super familiar yet with the newer source books, but I love the customization they bring to character and game options. Being able to customize my character is really important to me. I build characters for flavour rather than optimization.  What interests you the most about this opportunity? I really do like the idea of running two games concurrently, to keep things fresh. Also it lets me build more characters, which I love to do.  What hesitations do you have about this group? None, really. I would love the group to be long term, but I know that doesn't always happen. I've been used to playing with DMs who really liked to switch up stories, but they didn't do the two games thing, they would just randomly give up on a campaign a few sessions in because they found/made another one. And that sucked because I invest so much time in making a character, I make long backstories, dive into customization, and really get attached to characters. To go through all that and then have the campaign scrapped and not get to play that character again, that is my hesitation.
Name: John Pronouns: He/Him Age range: 33 Timezone: MT (Moving to EST in 3 months)   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e? I played the fate system with friends for about 6 years and I've been a DM for 5e for the last year with the same group.   How long have you used roll20? 1800 hours  Please list any pet peeves you may have: Antagonism between DMs and players. I think everyone is really on the same side at the end of the day. Also, I am not down for d&d to be a place to air fetishes.   What do you love about D&D? I love the ability to be someone I normally am not. I'm not going to lie, I enjoy tactical combat and play, but I really come for the role-play moments.   Tell me about yourself:  (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.) I'm a pretty extraverted person and I really love meeting people and getting to know them. I'm a native Californian and tend to be pretty go-with-the-flow.     What are you looking for from the group and from the game? I imagine the same thing everyone else is. A safe environment and a chance to have fun in a far off world.   What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? I'm probably a pretty RP focused and story-driven person. I don't love random encounters all the time, even though they certainly have their place. I like the things that drive forward the story. I'm lean more on the side of a serious game with humorous moments.  What do you bring to the virtual table? A commitment to the role. I don't know that I'll have a funny voice or anything, but I will definitely try to make decisions based on my character's attitudes, actions, and beliefs.  What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? I've always been a sucker for elves. I think I just dream of being as dexterous as them. I've been interested in playing tieflings and Aasimar as well.  What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? I've dreamed of so many classes. I love the new psi warrior class. I love the sorcerer class as a whole. I really like the warlock, not just a hexadin multiclass, but even something as classic as an eldritch blaster. There's a really high dps ranged Samurai build I've dreamed up that I think would only belong in a one shot.  What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? I love everything I've heard of Curse of Strahd, though I've avoided reading the source so far. I'm interested in Tomb of Annihilation, even though I've heard it's more of a meat grinder. I love waterdeep so I'd like to see hoard of the dragon queen someday.  What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? I've been DMing for a group using Tasha's and I've liked everything that I've encountered so far.  What interests you the most about this opportunity? I'm interested in learning what other DMs do in practice. I love DMing, but I also have the itch to play and a split group sounds really nice. If you already have another DM, that's great, if not I'd be willing to grab a module and run another game.  What hesitations do you have about this group? I don't know that there are any specific hesitancies for this group, but I'm always uncertain if a group will just fizzle really quickly or have one person ruin the whole experience. I know it doesn't happen often, but it's always something I worry about with a new group.
Name: Kurtis Banks Pronouns: He/Him Age:  33 Timezone: EST   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e? 3-4 years with a year or so away from the game, recently getting back into things with the past few months.  How long have you used roll20? About 3-4 years. Same as above  Please list any pet peeves you may have: hmmm, I'd have to say that powerful characters can grate me sometimes. A well-rounded character has flaws and weakness, which is where your party members come in and are strong where you are weak. The '18s in ever stat, expertise in all my skills, and I crit on all my rolls' type character never really set well with me. I can work with it sure, but being honest.    What do you love about D&D? Being able to freely able to create a character and bring that character through different challenges and situations...in essence the D&D is the purest form of the 'RPG' that I've found. Plus it's pretty endless, new campaigns, new characters, it goes on forever.   Tell me about yourself:  If I'm being honest, I'm remarkably uninteresting. Most of the last year has been spent indoors, and a lot of that time has been spent playing games online. Before that, I did enjoy going to the movies. I'm a sucker for a good story.   What are you looking for from the group and from the game? I'm simply looking for an opportunity to play some D&D. I tried another group on Saturday, and it ended up not working out. (The DM got swamped by school work and had to end the game).  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)?  I'm about 60/40 roleplay-combat if the party is open to it, although I don't think I'm very good at it. Other play styles, I'd say a good mix Adventure and Exploration is fun. Having a goal-oriented adventure that gets waylaid due to exploration or a party-member's sudden backstory sounds like a good time. As far as seriousness, I lean more towards serious. Not all the way of course, but would rather not have someone be drunk and be a drag on everyone.  What do you bring to the virtual table?  I'm a player who is responsible, reliable, and can come to the table ready to play. My availability through Discord is near 24/7, mic and cam ready to go. Plus, I can almost guarantee an elaborate and over-the-top backstory if requested. However, it can be as long or as short as you like.  What races do you like to play or are interested in playing?  My favorite race is dwarf, however, I'm more interested in the story. A tortle, infected with spores near the end of his life leaves his home to see the world. A human marked by an ancient cult, now hunted across the land by their assassins. Perhaps a Lizardfolk, who follow the stars above and found himself useful navigating a ship across the seas.  What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? Similar to the above answer, I like when the character and the class mix well. I've played support healer, caster, tanks, ranged and melee damage dealers. So I'm pretty open. However, my favorite would have to be a melee/caster mix. Mixing it up on the front lines with magic and spells to support that playstyle.  What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? In the past, I've played bits of Strahd and Out of the Abyss. But I've never made it through any 5e adventures from start to finish. Honestly, I'd be down for any.  What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials? I know very little about the new books, I would be interested...but only when I've had a chance to purchase and consequently catch up on anything I might have missed.  What interests you the most about this opportunity? Besides playing more D&D? Playing D&D :-) What hesitations do you have about this group? Only hesitations would be the same as when you meet new people. Will they like me? Will we share the same interests? Are they nice? and so forth. I say this in jest, cause of course all of you are very nice people who are all here for the same reason...play D&D
Name: Nick Pronouns:  He but not picky Age range: Young 50 Timezone:  Pacific   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e?  Played back in the 80's.  Picked it up again (Pathfinder actually) last year when I started DMing a campaign for my daughter and her friends.  Never actually played 5e but have watched plenty of Critical Roll.  How long have you used roll20?   Weekly over the last 14-15 months.  Please list any pet peeves you may have:   Rule fiends, probably the peeve every DM has.  Fortunately, all of my players are new to the game and don't know squat.  Players playing out of character always bothered me.  Why is the paladin scheming to rob the rich guy?  What do you love about D&D?  Losing myself in imagination.  Yet, still trying to think rationally in this made up world.  Tell me about yourself: (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.)  I have a dry sense of humor, sometimes too dry.  I tend to be easy going.  Aside from getting back into DnD, my main past time is trying to learn shred guitar.    What are you looking for from the group and from the game?  Ideally, an epic story with players all similarly caught up in the story, a nice mix of serious narration by the DM and player focus interspersed with snide comments, group laughter, and spittle coming out our noses.   I'll settle for consistency and an absence of douche bags.  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)?   I enjoy it all:  roll playing, figuring out riddles/puzzles, killing kobold scum. I tend to prefer good aligned parties for some reason.  Hard to be murder hobos that way. What do you bring to the virtual table?   A martini.  I'm ok with looking foolish.  So, no pride or attitude. What races do you like to play or are interested in playing?   I'm more of a traditionalist.  Anything more exotic than a gnome makes me squeamish.  However, if someone else wants to play a cat person or construct, more power to them.  I just hope they have a good back story.   What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing?  I'm open to anything, especially if the back story fits.  I'm least interested in pure fighting classes but, if the roll is needed... What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play?   Currently, I'm adapting Tomb of Annihilation to my daughter's campaign.  So, anything else would be great. What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)?   I'm fine with any content even home brewed character classes.  What interests you the most about this opportunity?   Actually playing DnD as a player.  Haven't done that in 37 years.  Ugh, that seems old.  What hesitations do you have about this group?   I'm worried about the schedule.  I'm in California.  6-11 EST is 3-7 pm here.  On a Saturday too.   I'll need a buy in (permission) from the wife.
The search continues...
So I guess I didn't make the cut
Hi Scott C., the post was meant to bump the ad and solicit more responses...sort of like this reply. :)

Name: David Pronouns: He Age range: 24 Timezone: Central   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e?  I have never played any TTRPGs besides D&D and i only got into it a year ago. I have played through about half of a curse of strahd campaign and some one-shots.  How long have you used roll20? Since I started D&D  Please list any pet peeves you may have: I do not have any D&D related pet peeves that I know of.  What do you love about D&D? The things that make me love D&D is telling and worldbuilding a good story through interactions and role-play.  Tell me about yourself: (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.)  What are you looking for from the group and from the game? I am looking for a group I can play with that has I can work with while seeing a story play out though rolepay and combat, both of which I like.  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? I tend to play characters in a  way that takes the story seriously, but I can also provide comedy if need be. What do you bring to the virtual table? A lot of energy and excitement for playing D&D What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? I believe that I am cable of potentially playing any race and creating some sort of backstory that the DM can fill in, however, they like What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? The two main classes that I think I am interested in from a story sense are a cleric or a warlock. The reason is that I think a clerics' relationship with its deity or domain or a warlocks relationship with its patron has much story potential. What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play? I have only played one adventure before but I think I would like any of them. I enjoy nearly every type of story, ranging from comedy to sci-fi and fantasy to mystery to even stories written in poetry What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? I used Tasha's Cauldron of Everything to create a water gensi cleric of order on the first campaign I did, so I am fine with any sourcebook. What interests you the most about this opportunity? Plying D&D angain, it has been a while since I played with another group. What hesitations do you have about this group?   none that I can think about

Name: Amy Pronouns: She/Her Age range: 30s Timezone: EDT   How long have you been playing D&D? 5e? I've been playing 5e, and other Tabletop systems, for about 5-6 years.  How long have you used roll20? For about as long as I've played Tabletop games, so 5-6 years.  Please list any pet peeves you may have: Basically if there's an RPG horror story about it, I'm most likely against it.  What do you love about D&D? Being able to combine the best aspects of video games and acting. Creating characters and having the chance to see them develop and grow. Being part of an epic story.   Tell me about yourself:  (sense of humor, personality, anything you're comfortable sharing.) Cards on the table I suppose, I'm on the spectrum so I'm not exactly a social butterfly. I'll probably start off shy and not very talkative, but once I feel more comfortable I will start interacting more. Also, if I'm somehow being a pain, please just let me know what I'm doing wrong so I can try to improve it.  What are you looking for from the group and from the game? Basically, I just want the group to get along and for the game to be fair and fun for everyone.  What is your play(er) style (rp/combat/exploration preference; serious game or beer and pretzels style, etc.)? I usually like RP the most cuz I'm a sucker for a good story, but I like combat and exploration too. I like taking play seriously but I'm always glad to hear a good joke too. What do you bring to the virtual table? I have some acting experience and I know my way around 5e decently well. I hope to bring in some riveting RP if possible. What races do you like to play or are interested in playing? Elves and Tieflings are usually my favorite races to play, particularly Eladrin, but I have ideas for other races such as half-orcs, aasimar, etc. What character classes do you like to play or are interested in playing? Druid is my favorite class of all time, but I've played everything from fighters, to wizards, to monks, and more. What D&D5e adventures would you be excited to play?  I've mostly played homebrew adventures and don't know as much about modules, but either of the above-mentioned modules sound like they could be interesting to play. What is your interest/preference in playing with new sourcebook materials (e.g. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything)? I have no problem with it. I enjoy the content from the sourcebooks a lot and I'm always happy to see them make an appearance. What interests you the most about this opportunity? Well I just learned about this group from Serena, so mostly just getting the chance to play 5e again. It's been so long since I played 5e and I miss it terribly. What hesitations do you have about this group? Well, I'm always hesitant about new groups since you don't know what you're dealing with till you've played a while, but I'm mostly hoping that everyone will be friendly and understanding and hopefully no RPG horror stories will come out of this.
