Ping breaks after first use

Hello!

I'm currently using the roll20 tutorial to get used to the program, and it asks me to ping to move on. I do the ping, the little circle appears, but then nothing happens. I try to ping again, nothing happens.

I am using a chromebook on chrome with both a mouse and trackpad, neither of which work.

I have the cursor tool selected and I didn't accidentally choose another tool.

Any ideas? Thanks!

At present the tutorial is severely bugged, one of the dangers of an ever evolving VTT sadly.

I'd advise learning what you can from it and then creating a game to play around further in (they are free and technically infinite). Any additional support you need can be found on the wiki, in the help center (which is the currently dev supported repository for documentation) or here on the forums :)

Thanks! I was experiencing other bugs as well so I'm glad to know it isn't just me.

I know that after 2 months a topic will auto-close, but is it possible to close it early since it is resolved?

I used to be able to do that, back in my mod days **distant stare for a moment** but alas, no longer.

However, no need to worry, as you say it will auto close eventually :)

Hey PizzaBombz,

Like Ziechael said there are definitely a few bugs in the tutorial as it currently exists. We're working to get a much better one made but that's still a ways off. For now using the links they provided are your best options. I'll go ahead and close this thread out like you asked but if there's anything else you need help with these forums are an absolute treasure trove of knowledge but you can also reach out to us directly through the help center if needed.
