Transferring items between characters (is it possible?)

Imagine that your players are camping out in the wilderness right now and they're a day's walk to a town where they're going to prepare for a upcoming boss fight by buying new gear and whatnot. So one of the characters say, "Hey I'm going to share 3 days worth of rations to bob, 50 gold pieces to Jeff and give my old bow and arrow to my pet wolf." And as the DM, you have to manually open someones inventory, decrease the gold and rations, then manually transfer them to the other players, which takes a good sum of time. Is there a way to do that faster without the use of API scripts (because I'm a plus member)?
Also here's another question: Are rule books like the PHB tied to compendium slots like regular adventure modules, so If I run out of compendium slots, will I not have access to the PHB anymore in any of my newer games/I can't share my PHB with other players when they create new characters?

I guess my solution to that is to have the players do it.   Whoever is running the game has enough to do without taking over a job that is quite easily done by the player.  After all, it is their character, right?  Who else should take care of what that character is carrying?  There is no way to transfer things from one sheet to another as far as I know, but dragging from the compendium (since it sounds like you are playing a system that has one) is an option, and the players can do that as well if you have shared the content with them. A Plus and Pro subscription are different things.  A Plus subscription unlocks dynamic lighting, the character vault access for your games (if you allow it), and so forth.  It takes the Pro subscription to have access to the api and use api scripts.  As far as the sharing goes, if you run out of slots, you can always remove sharing from games that aren't active or don't need the access right now.

Just to be clear, only sharing is affected by slots. You personally will always have access to your purchases unless you specifically turn them off in a game.
Well I guess that makes sense.  So I guess there's no proper way to do it without either a pro subscription or the payers doing it themselves. After I get my players accustomed to D&D (because they're new) I'll be sure to teach them how to transfer items between each other. Thanks :)
Also thanks for answering my questions about sharing. Have a great day!
