Looking for players for a home brew campaign

Greetings! I’m a first time DM and I’m looking to start my very own home brew campaign. Mostly based on 5e, maybe 70% RP and 30% combat. I’m looking to really build something that’ll be long term. I’d like to do a session 0 to set up the backgrounds of all player characters, possibly establish connections between player characters. Details can be worked out over messages or Discord. If you’re interested in maybe joining the campaign, send a description of a few characters you’d like to roll.
I'm not sure why but roll20 ate my original reply. About me: Hello! I haven't played anything since my last  D&D group 2 years ago (we did 5e); I'm willing to learn any game though. I work full time M-F. Late games would be fine on Fri/Sat, but Sun would have to be earlier (I get up ~6am CST for work).  About me:  37, Male, Pagan, gay, Bipolar, Regularly stoned, dark sense of humor. I have a senior dog that needs to go out like, every 2 hrs (he doesn't take more than 5-10 min though). I'm fine with voice or voice & video requirements. About my play style: I tend to play healing or other supportive roles. I usually start out as a more "chaotic neutral"  then let my character grow organically into whatever will balance the group best if needed (last group I was CN and through the course of the game everyone else went full evil so I started leaning towards the more positive end of neutral).  I'd prefer an 18+, as I tend to cuss like a sailor...along the whole bipolar/stoner/dark humor thing. I'm here, I'm chill, I may start doing my own thing but ultimately I'm ready to be shaped into a part of your story.  I'm open to any day, however I work from home M-F 7a-4p, but am "on call" for our live chat from 4p-7p. I could start play during the 4-7 but I may get interrupted by chats here and there. (All times CST) Characters I'd like to roll/have tested previously but didn't get to play alot: Druid/Cleric who specializes in summons and likes to kick butt as much as heal Gnome fighter specializing in archery "Wild card" - entire character created through dice rolls (race/class/background, everything created through rolling a die corresponding to the # of options) I've always wanted to see what kind of crazy I can create this way.
Hey Steven, Justin was the one who led me to this thread. I have alot of exp playing 5E and love the game fully. I don't keep to any particular class as party comp is super important. I will gladly role anything the party needs. I am 27, male, and just looking to be included in a group to experience D&D through discord or this site. I tend to fall towards lawful neutral alignment as it really only applies if your in a town with a governing body or part of a pact like a Paladin or Cleric.  I also love to concoct several (wtf) moments, some feats included are: Using the spell arcane gate to create a lava cannon with the power of a planetary core, Powerbombing a gnoll off a sniper tower as a barbarian, throwing small characters as a form of extra movement so often I gained proficiency, and using the cantrip thornwhip to magically disengage from any grappling enemy. I am not looking to disrupt any sessions, just to think of outside the box solutions based off reality and the rules of the game.  I hope to hear back from you Cheers Zak
Hi there! Justin referred me here.  I am 22, EST based. I am practically brand new to the tabletop genre. Character creation is something I have not done on my own.  Depending on what time/day you run your games, I will be able to let you know whether I can play. I have the general idea of DND and the concepts and stuff. It’s the little things that I am still learning.  As far as my character goes, I shall flow with the party and be a filler of sorts, using this opportunity to learn the mechanics and further my knowledge in DND.
Hello, to clarify, this is a custom system based on Dungeons and Dragons 5e, right?
Yes, it’s going to be based off the basic rules of 5e, with some of the expansions, mainly XGE. The home brew aspect at this point is mostly story
Hello! I'm particularly fond of homebrew games so your post immediately caught my eye, I ran my own and love the idea of helping someone else bring theirs to life. The worldbuilding aspects of it are so fascinating! I'm 21 with experience in D&D, though it's been years since I've played at all and I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I've got several characters built that can fill in different roles as needed, but some of more fleshed out ones are: A death domain cleric with a fascination in overcoming death through medical practice. A water genasi who makes a habit of ship hopping, fooling sailors, and taking everything possible. A warlock in pursuit of knowledge and success at all costs, primarily to the self, for familial approval. A begrudging barbarian who prefers to stay out of trouble and longs to study entomology.  Feel free to shoot me a message for any reason!
We're still looking for people-- preferably available to play during the week starting around 6p PST (estimate).
