I am starting a epic long term campaign where the players characters will have a lasting effect on the world they live. Roll play is strongly encouraged with character background stories that will feed into the plot of the campaign. I put as much time, effort , effects, money into my games as much as those professional DM's that charge you 15$ hour and I don't charge. What I expect instead is committed, enthusiastic mature players that show up regularly, take this adventurous World and make it epic. Characters will start 1st level and play up to 20th and perhaps beyond. The world we play is based off the sword coast adventures ( factions such as the lords alliance, emerald enclave, ect exist in it). This campaign covers vast areas ( a whole world and beyond) with all kinds of cultures/races/magic/creatures/magic items ect.   I have gone with the 30 year age limit not because there will be adult content ( there will not be) but to ensure that we have players that don't ruin the adventure with juvenile stunts like 3rd level characters picking buggers out of an ancient red dragon's nose while its sleeping.( you know who you are) . Character race selection includes all WOTWC books ( players hand book, Tasha's cauldron of everything, Sword coast  adventures guide, Xanathar's guide to everything, Explorer guide to Wildermont, and Ebberon: Rising from the last war). rare races are allowed but would require a reasonable background explanation as to why they have chosen to adventure away from their homelands. No unearthed arcana material. players are required to have mic and Discord ( camera is a plus but not necessary)  What I bring to the table: Charactermancer with all WOTWC races, over 900$ of art and effects purchased from Roll 20. All bonuses from a Pro account ( dynamic lighting ect). Easy going DM who encourages and rewards roll players and builds the story based off characters actions.  my basic rules: 1) Have fun 2) let other players play their characters ( and pay the consequences for their actions) 3) try not to hog the spotlight ( all players will get their epic moments 4) you can question DM on rules but after review from DM decision is final and can be discussed after game. 5) 2 or more unannounced no shows will get you kicked, real life happens so its understood you may have a situation but keep us informed. 6) if you cannot make it you agree to allow someone else or the DM to play your character while you are gone. 7) don't be a jerk 8) no politics or social justice warriors, we are playing to escape that world and enjoy one without it.  If what you read  interests you and you agree to the terms then please complete a application in the format listed below: Your real name: your real age: D&D experience: What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? What do you want out of this campaign? what do you want of your DM? what do you bring to the Game? Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro?
Your real name: Anton Nordström your real age: 27 D&D experience: 5 years with over 4000 hours of roll20 What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? I am usually 50/50 about when it comes to hack/slash and exploring. But in terms of the other alternatives i'd say I like all of them equally. What do you want out of this campaign? Good time, a place where I can invest my free time and fun. Get new friends and continue to learn new stuff about D&D that I yet have to learn. what do you want of your DM? Someone who knows when to do rule of cool and at times where to follow the rules as written. Who knows where to draw the limits for when certain things gets drawn out for too long or too much. It already seems you fullfill these requests. what do you bring to the Game? Flexibility when it comes to characters. I am willing to fill and play in to a role if needed. Otherwise I am okay with playing everything except paladins haha! I am fun and creative when it comes to ideas and interactions. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Sure but... Can you tie them in a knot or a bow?
Your real name: Kurtis Banks your real age: 33 D&D experience:  3-4 years cumulative. When I started I was much more ravenous in terms of D&D. I was watching streams, an Irl group, 1-2 roll20 campaigns. That all kind of dried up a bit with the pandemic. That coupled with my attention being drawn elsewhere with another game, I felt I didn't have the time. Recently, I've been drawn back to D&D and been looking to get back in the game.   What aspect of D&D do you like most?  I'm about 60/40 roleplay-combat if the party is open to it, although I don't think I'm very good at it. Other aspects, I'd say Adventure/Exploration/Comradery is a good mix. Having a goal-oriented adventure that gets waylaid due to exploration or a party-member's sudden backstory sounds like a good time.  What do you want out of this campaign? I'm looking for something long-term. Most, if not all, of my D&D experiences have been short bursts. A few levels, a few weeks, 1-2 sessions, its been...frustrating. I want to see my characters grow and how they work in different scenarios. I've had 1 experience that lasted longer, its by far...by far the most fondly looked upon memories concerning D&D what do you want of your DM? Someone who is responsible and is ready for the task. Also someone who likes what they do. I've had DM's that were unprepared for a session, cancelled sessions because of it. Dm's that ultimately called it quits cause they found out they didn't like doing that type of prep. what do you bring to the Game? Along the same vein, I'm a player who is responsible, reliable, and can come to the table ready to play. My availability through Discord is near 24/7, mic and cam ready to go. Plus, I can almost guarantee an elaborate and over-the-top backstory if requested. However, it can be as long or as short as you like.   Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? I don't know what this means.
Your real name: Daniel Ross     your real age:34     D&D experience:2 What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? All. Every game is a new adventure   What do you want out of this campaign? to have fun what do you want of your DM? To keep us inline and to keep the game flowing. what do you bring to the Game? playing every week and giving it my all. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Can you tie 'em in a knot? Can you tie 'em in a bow? Can you throw 'em o'er your shoulder Like a continental soldier Do your ears hang low? Do your ears stick out? Can you waggle them about? Can you flap them up and down As you fly around the town? Can you shut them up for sure When you hear an awful bore? Do your ears stick out? Do your ears flip-flop? Can you use them as a mop? Are they stringy at the bottom? Are they curly at the top? Can you use them for a swatter? Can you use them for a blotter? Do your ears flip-flop? Do your ears stand high? Do they reach up to the sky? Do they droop when they are wet? Do they stiffen when they're dry? Can you summon o'er your neighbor With a minimum of labor? Do your ears stand high?
Your real name: Michael your real age:33 D&D experience: Some DnD 3.0 several years ago. Played several shorter sessions with various friends, but it always seems I was wanting to continue more than others in those groups. I have recently played a few short 5E sessions, but was looking for a longer campaign. What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? I don't have a particular preference. I have been in roleplay sessions where the entire sessions never touched combat. I have played sessions which were long puzzles or riddles. I have also played in sessions that were entirely combat with a focus on the numbers. I often like something that is a mix, as that is where this game is at its best. What do you want out of this campaign? Something long term and stable. An ongoing plot, referential jokes and fun shared by all. what do you want of your DM? Creativity. what do you bring to the Game? Depends on the game, but I try to interact with every player and have it be fun. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Up and down, look at them go.
Your real name: Shelley your real age: 28, soon to be 29 D&D experience: Literally half of my entire lifetime I've been playing D&D.  I started with 3.5 in my freshman year of high school, playing in an after school group with friends.  Then I graduated to 4th edition in college, played in a few campaigns, and have been in 3 long term campaigns of 5th edition so far. What aspect of D&D do you like most?: My favorite part of Dungeons and Dragons is the interactive storytelling.  I love playing a character that can interact with the world and have an effect on the world around them.  I like exploration and a little bit of politics too.  I prefer a campaign that is equal part combat/puzzle/encounter/things we have to roll for and parts roleplay and exploration. What do you want out of this campaign?: What I want is another game.  I'm currently in one long term game every week but that doesn't quite scratch my itch enough.  I need something else that fully engages me.  Something that's fun but can also get serious at times.  I don't mind dark storylines as long as they aren't just there for the sake of edginess. What do you want of your DM?: Someone who can think on the fly if the party goes off the rails, but also good at keeping things on track OOC.  I've known a lot of parties who could spend a whole session arguing about what to do next lol. What do you bring to the Game?: I bring creativity, a player character that feels like they could actually fit in the real world.  I'm fairly good at knowing when to speak up and knowing when to let others have the spotlight.  I'm always on time and ready to play, almost never missing sessions.  I've missed one session in my current campaign and that was to have dental surgery. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro?: They actually don't because I have attached ear lobes
Your real name: Luca your real age: 29 D&D experience: 3 years DMing d&d 5th edition What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? i love having fun in a multiplayer setting. the rewarding feeling of changing the world around you as you interact with it and the completion of character driven goals over time with hard work really gets me going What do you want out of this campaign? to play long term with a group of mature people. to be able to level a character sheet up past 5 without everyone losing interest or the table breaking up due to changes in irl schedules (these things happen and i understand, but i wanna get to lvl 20!) what do you want of your DM? just someone who is open to fun and creativity. a dm that works with the player and doesnt seem against them, but can still offer challenging experiences and opportunity for character development  what do you bring to the Game? teamwork skills, out of the box and critical thinking, inclusivity of others, attendance and punctuality, respect for others Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? like a soldier i know im a little late to the sign up process, fingers crossed i get accepted!
I have 3 slots still open. I have sent my discord information already to applicants that have messaged me.
Your real name: Shawn W your real age: 38 D&D experience: 1.5 Years What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? Adventure and combat. i prefer exploring and combat over puzzles.  What do you want out of this campaign? A long term campaign that is reliable. A immersive story and a group of fun people to play D & D with that get into their characters and the story.  what do you want of your DM? Be reliable and run the game every week. What ever the rules stay consistent and have a planned out session (as much as that is possible before the players ruin your plans haha) what do you bring to the Game? Consistency, I show up every week on time. I get into my character and am very easy going and laid back. This is my fun for the week. Why bring in real life drama. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Indeed. I can tie them in a knot, and tie them in a bow.
Group is full. thank you for your interest.
Had one person drop, so there is one opening. if interested please submit application, Thanks
Your real name: Kyle Your real age: 34 D&D experience: I've been playing online for 3 years now, but haven't progressed more than a few sessions due to groups dissolving. What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play, hack and slash, adventure, exploration, camaraderie, mystery, suspense, etc?: I enjoy role playing and adventure. Mostly I just like to disappear into a different world. What do you want out of this campaign?: More than anything else I  just want to play a campaign that lasts more than 5 sessions. But I'd also like to have fun, have a few laughs, and maybe make a few friends. What do you want of your DM?: I just want a DM who I can get along with, someone who sticks to the rules and makes fair decisions. What do you bring to the Game?: I like to create fun interesting characters, I'm also a genuinely funny person, at least everybody tells me so. Plus I'm prompt, courteous, and friendly. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro?: Depends on who's rubbing my belly.
Ok here is my discord handle name  Shartmaster#3916 send me a friend request
we still have one opening. message me if interested
Hey. Not sure if you've found the right fit to fill in for your dropout. However since there aren't any posts saying it's closed again I'll go ahead and throw my hat in. Your real name: Skyler Anable your real age: 28. For now. Oh god I turn 30 next year. D&D experience: About 1 1/2 years. I definitely came in to this game later than most. To my buddy's constant chagrin as he tried to get me to play when we were growing up. My longest campaign ran for about 8 months before it wrapped up. Since then I've mostly played in a westmarch discord server with a heavy focus on RP. I've also DM'd a bit on there and geez that is such a different experience. What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? I love that it is, outside of the framework, limitless. Unlike the code of a video game things can happens outside of the bounds of expectation and just roll with it. A enjoy all of the aspects listed...though at times I can struggle with more abstract or smarty pants things because ape brain go brrrt. What do you want out of this campaign?  While I love my West Marches community that I'm a part of. I do wish I could have. Longer term stories develop. Most of our games, though RP heavy, are one shots; or maybe a short 2-3 session arc. Also a little break from the lethality. I love dangerous encounters as much as the next guy....but a Deadly ranked encounter is the minimum on our server. Going up to even deadlier levels where if you make a tactical error it could easily end bad for a lot of people or a tpk. I like that play, but I'd like a break from having to think good brain tactics every single session. what do you want of your DM?  Consistency. I can deal with any rulings there are as long as they're applied consistently through the campaign as well as to players and enemies alike. Also adaptability. We all know if there's one thing that players are good at it's screwing up any sense of plans or order. So its good when the DM is good at adapting. Not that I'm saying anyone is expected to be 100% on all the time and flawless in dealing with what we player mess up. I'm here to roll with whatever happens. what do you bring to the Game?  Controlled Chaos. I lead with that knowing that it could hurt me, but I mean it in a very controlled and considerate way to my DM and other players. I'm not some chaotic stupid asshole, actually I don't think I've ever had a "chaotic" character. However I've found that often a party could very much use a wild card who knows when to hold back and when to push everyone forward. That's usually me. I'm also really bad at super somber overly serious characters so that's NOT what I bring to the game. Now, they can be serious, but it's not like....their whole personality. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Naw fam. My chain hang low.
If you're still looking... Your real name: Brian your real age: 30 D&D experience: On-and-off for like 20 years. My oldest brother started the other two of us like as soon as I could read, do arithmetic and sit still for more than an hour What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? I like seeing the narrative play out. That interplay between players, characters, DM, rules, and settings. Having the perfect character with the perfect stats and voice is nothing if it doesn't make for a fun story. What do you want out of this campaign? Just what you described! Long running game with engaged adults that (hopefully) make the effort to show up, please! what do you want of your DM? A good framework, a readiness to change based on consequences of player actions/results, and a willingness to nudge slow players into action (this is almost never me) what do you bring to the Game? Love of character, a desire for action, and that curiosity to see what's around the next corner. Plus, I consider myself funny. Does that help? PLEASE VALIDATE ME! Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Whoa, now. Are you vetting out elves? I swear I'll call Affirmative Elf Action on your ass!

Your real name: Jacob your real age: 24 going on 30 D&D experience: about a year and a half What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? roleplay with a bit of badass hack and slash What do you want out of this campaign? A long term game to sink my teeth into the few I've been in have had some lack luster players where I was doing the heavy carry RP wise so looking for a group that can RP and have a good time. Where they take schedules seriously  what do you want of your DM? For them to have just as much fun as I do when I give backstory fodder for them to lord over me and the rest of the party lol what do you bring to the Game? an excellent sense of humor(in my username),Spicy voices, and some good ol RP, last but certainly not least Punctuality. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Is your cabbage in a patch or is it in a bowl. Is your Cart destroyed, by a small little boy. Can your cart last a week? MY....CABBA...GES. Discord is the fastest way to get ahold of me Cabbage Man#5344
Your real name: Tim your real age: 25 D&D experience: 6 years, started DnD club at university.  What aspect of D&D do you like most? roll play/hack and slash/adventure/exploration/comradery/mystery/suspense ect? I really like the oldschool hack and slash aspects of getting cool items and fighting interesting things. I also really like getting into weird, horrible situations and finding creative ways of getting out of them. What do you want out of this campaign? I want a group of people who are able to have fun together, I don't particularly care about what the campaign is like; but I like a setting that allows for silly actions with serious consequences. what do you want of your DM? To have their goal be that the players have fun. what do you bring to the Game? I have a great attitude and I'm very respectful of other people's time. I really like it when everyone is having fun, and I try pretty hard for that to happen. In game I usually like to take action first and then deal with the consequences, but it depends what type of character I play. I like to put on a voice for characters so its really easy to tell when im speaking out of character. Do your ears hang low and do they wobble to and fro? Only when im in the hot tub
Group is full thanks
