Hello, I'm looking for 2-3 more players for a campaign that I'm planning to do a session zero for on June 25th. The goal will be to play every Friday around 6-7 EST, but for the campaign to be able to run for a long time I've found that it's important that we're all flexible with our schedules and allow for skipping some weeks. The campaign will be in a homebrew setting, and there will be a lot of opportunity for players to engage in world-building as well as playing their characters. I have a story arc planned that would take a party up to level 5 or 6, and from there will customize the campaign based on the development of the characters. To start I will say that my primary focus in playing table top RPGs is character development in a narrative sense. I want to collaboratively tell an awesome story together as a group. I see my job as a DM to be creating supporting characters as well as conflict for what are the main characters of the story - the party. You will enjoy playing in my campaigns most if you enjoy the narrative/storytelling/roleplay aspects of D&D as well as the mechanics - if you're just focused on mechanics, and solving the next puzzle, killing the next boss, or getting the next piece of loot then your time would be better spent elsewhere. To start, I should mention that my campaign will start in an area that I've designed around a specific history/lore. Not all of the races live on the same continent, not all the people on that continent have the same laws, and some of them have never been seen before - so whatever character type you have in mind, we will need to have a conversation about who they are, where they come from, and how they got to where we're starting. If you're interested I can give you some basic background on the setting as well as a map. For basic character creation - we will be using point buy only; however, you will receive a free feat to start with regardless of race. Yes, you can double up as a variant human. Your free feat can NOT be the "Lucky" feat, but yes you can get it if you otherwise have the option. Also, I am only allowing published 5e content, though we can discuss UA content if there's something you're interested in. I'm all about doing fun homebrew rules and stuff with an established campaign, but it's not how I like to start off. If you're interested, DM on Discord Ajax War-Rocket#3524 Roll20's notifications are slow and I'm not always on this site - you're better off going straight to discord.
