[LFP][D&D5e][Free] - Dragon of Icespire Peak - Beginners Welcome

Hello everyone, I find myself in the position of having a lot of free time during the day for the next few months at least, and getting into Dungeons & Dragons 5e again I'd like to make my time productive/useful and run a couple of games on Roll20. The idea would be to run the Dragon of Icespire Peak adventure, with supplemental adventures to take the group(s) further should they wish it, which was initially released in the Essentials Kit box intended as an introduction for both GMs and players.  The adventure takes place in Phandalin in the Forgotten Realms, a young White Dragon named  Cryovain has made the surrounding area its territory and the players are given tasks to help the locals - warn those who might be too far out to have received word, try and gather things that might help in their defense of the village, that sort of thing - as lowly first level adventurers. If players complete all of the quests, the Dragon of Icespire Peak has content to take you from level 1-7, there are three additional adventures set in the area (Storm Lord's Wrath, Sleeping Dragon's Wake & Divine Contention) which run up to level 12 I believe and I would be happy to run those as well afterwards should the players desire.  I live in the United Kingdom and am in BST/GMT+1 at the moment, I can run games between 09:00-16:00 Monday to Friday, and am happy to run a couple of different sessions for two or three different groups, probably at about 3 hours a session. If you're interested, please drop a message here with the day/time range you'd like to play, once we can get a couple of people together in the same slots I'll get a game set up and move the conversation over to there. I'd love to get this set up as soon as possible! Characters, as I've said, will be level 1 and we will use the standard array. I have the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Xanathar's Guide to Everything & The Player's Handbook, I also have the latter two on Roll20 as well which can be used with the Charactermancer should people need it. I haven't gotten around to picking up the SCAG on Roll20, yet.

Thanks.  I just had a quick look and it seems to depend entirely on which part of Australia you're in, Norfolk Island Standard Time is GMT +11, Australian Central Standard Time is GMT +9.5 ,  Australian Western Standard Time is GMT +8 and Christmas Island Time is GMT +7. So anywhere between 15:00-19:00 as a starting time, and 20:00 and 24:00 as a finish time depending on what the group as a whole can do, I believe.

I'm based on Perth, Western Australia. Gmt+8. I get the sense that the game time is fluid, is that correct? 

Currently this game is Thursdays 4.30pm for me. I'm good for that. 

Hi Iberius, At the moment it's looking like we might have a full group for the Thursday slot, this may change but as I've said I am open to running a session on a different day of the week so if there's any other days you're available it might be worth noting it down in case a second group starts up. 

Hi Matthew, I'd be interested in joining if you're going to run multiple sessions (since you said you were able to fill the Thursday slot). I can play everyday except Tuesday, and any time from 09:00 to 16:00 is OK for me. If that matters, I'm from Turkey (GMT+3).

hey mate, i know ya groups full but if you do end up running a second group i'd like to throw my name into that hat please. ive played for about a year or so as a DM and yet to have my first game as a PC im free monday-thursday 4:30pm(GMT+10) and onwards

Hello Matthew, I'm fairly new to DnD and unfortunately have yet to play a game where I'm a level 1 or thereabout for an extended period, so have never really got the feel of playing the game from its roots. I would love to play this game with a group and you sound like you're available at a perfect time for me. I'm on Australia's east coast GMT+10 and am only available in the evenings here - mornings for you there I think?  I'd probably play a sorcerer or fighter. Also toying with the idea of playing a young teenager that's been orphaned and trying to find they're place in the world. With the fledglying skills of someone who's found a veteran trainer to teach him a few tricks (Karate Kid style). Let me know if you have room in the Thursday session or either Tues/Wed. Thanks 

So unless I'm mistaken, it would seem that there might be a second group forming for a Wednesday? There's a lot of time zones bouncing around so it's difficult keeping track of everything :) Madoga0, Aaron S and Takado, hypothetically a Wednesday at about 10:00 my time (which, I believe, would be 12:00 for Madoga0, and 19:00 for Aaron S & Takado) okay? 

Yeah 10 AM(GMT +1) Wednesday is okay for me. I PM'd you my discord number if you wish to talk/message me there, but if you just want to use roll20 to communicate that's fine too.

If we get enough people I'll invite everyone in to a conversation together on Discord to work out the party, until then I'm keeping everything to here :) I have so many conversations going on Discord on a normal day of the week, I'm trying to preserve my sanity!

I would be available. -Devin As per the first post, any games I run will be between 09:00-16:00 BST, based on that I'd say it probably wouldn't be any good time wise I'm afraid.
