Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Module Info : - An exciting adventure set in the iconic Forgotten Realms - Magic and intrigue played out against a backdrop of everlasting winter - Memorable characters and mysterious locations begging to be explored About your DM : I have been playing and running Dungeons and Dragons for over a decade. I started in 4th edition and have been playing 5th edition since its inception. I have also been playing Pathfinder 2nd edition since it came out. One of my passions when I run a game is bringing characterization and roleplaying to the table! I am an avid fan of fantasy and science-fiction, and I am a bit too obsessed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Why Pay-to-Play? A dedicated DM : As I stated above, I have been playing and DMing for over a decade. I bring that experience to the table. I also spend time throughout the week outside of our session preparing maps, NPCs and encounters to enhance everyone's playing experience. Your payment goes to much more than the 4 hours we are playing together. A more reliable group : Every one of us who has played D&D for any length of time has had to deal with flaky people cancelling at the last moment. With pay-to-play games, players (and DMs) are more likely to show up on time and ready to play! Longevity : As a paid campaign, people may come and go with scheduling conflicts but we replace and carry on. If you like to plant story seeds, you can rest easy knowing the campaign will go on long enough to truly see them bloom! Schedule : Sessions will happen every Friday starting at 8 pm CDT. They will last between 3 and a half to 4 hours, perhaps a bit longer if I feel a good stopping point is on the horizon. Any cancellations on my end will occur with notice. Our first session will be a bit of a Session 0 where we hash out our characters, figure how they all fit together and create our group as a group! Group Management We will be creating our characters in DnDBeyond, as I have all content unlocked there. We will be using Roll20 for maps, etc. We will be using Discord for text chat and voice chat.
