Looking for GURPS? We run two games on alternating weekends. And we just lost two players to scheduling and we may lose another to school. It's a tough blow for a small group but we're hoping you can save us. We play in a number of different genres because we like to keep things from getting into a rut but we almost always have at least one GURPS game going. Our games are long (6 hours) and we're pretty snobby about good manners (showing up or at least giving lots of notice if you need to cancel). Our games tend to lean towards conspiracy/mystery with a fair amount of fighting and run RP. We're serious gamers on the older end of the hobby, don't tend to towards jokey characters or silly campaigns, but we also have a good time and tend to find something to fall down laughing about just about every session. We want players who want to have a good time and get dug into their character. We've taught a lot of players who are new to GURPS and we have no trouble helping new players get to our table. Here's the catch: We are gaming on Roll 20 due to extraordinary circumstances most everyone else is facing and at some point we'll want to go back to gaming at our table. The best case scenario is if you're someone near Everett Washington who'd be willing to transition to a live table. But if you're willing to join us with the understanding that at some point the table will leave Roll 20, we'd be happy to have you. Time: Varies, one game Friday Nights, one Saturday Afternoon, these could be rescheduling depending on our future needs. Audio: Mostly Discord. Working microphone's are required. Video: We aren't doing video at this time. Not many of our players have the tech or want to get made-up Saturday afternoon to game so we game without video for now. System: GURPS Basic Set, with the sort of normal house-rules that most tables have. Most players can get by in our games with just GURPS Lite but if you have more books it will make the lifting easier for you. Attendance: 6 hour sessions every other week. We want players who can be flexible to go up to an extra hour if we're stuck in to a combat or a scene that needs to be wrapped up. New Player's Welcome? Yes! We'd love experienced players but we have no problem making you one. We've trained new players before. We'd prefer that you have an interest in GURPS specifically as it does play a bit differently than a lot of other games. Mature Content? Yes. We're not trucker-mouthed dungeon porn deviants, but we're all adults and not looking to restrain ourselves from content befitting. We drop F-bombs. We have characters with dark aspects. We sometimes solve problems in very non-PG ways. People who want to join us should be on-board with the possibility of mature content but not expect it to be the norm. We're also concerned with mature players. We hold one another to accountable standards and expect the same respect we'd show sitting across a table.
