[LFP] Mines of Phandelver [18+ maybe?]

Hello all! A friend was curious about Dungeons & Dragons, so I am looking to show him with the aid of some other Moderately Experienced players! I will be starting him on solely just the PHB content, however that only affects him, I am not good at balancing so I would prefer not to do Homebrew at this current point, things may change on that, the campaign is Schedule'd for Eastern Time on Wednesday Evenings at 7pm. I will be looking for 4 players for a total of 5 party members, LGBTQ+ friendly as well, if things go well we can finish up Mines of Phandelver and go into Storm King's Thunder if that sounds interesting, That being said go ahead and tell me about yourselves, your experience, the kind of character you are looking at playing, both personality AND mechanically. PS my friend is wanting to go as bard, I am not saying build around him but I am gave him first choice! Cheers everyone!

Hi there! Name's Krusaderp, Krusader or Kru, whatever you prefer! I am a 28 year old long time gamer (from board games to video games to TTRPG's like 5e and pathfinder and the like) who just enjoys playing in worlds where i dont need to be myself, also am LGBTQ+ friendly. I am a pretty shy guy at first but as time goes on i tend to break through my shell pretty quickly. I have been playing 5e for roughly 3 years i think, still dont know everything and aint trying to know everything. I dont care about RAW or RAI because its all about having fun, right?? I also have played other games like Pathfinder 1e, Savage Worlds, Call of Cthulu, Star Wars Saga, Warhammer 40k, and bunch of other stuff, but prefer 5e since its A LOT lighter on all the rules and plays more to you instead of the damage. I have been on Roll20 for roughly 6ish years and can grasp it fairly well. I also have Discord and will share that if I am accepted into the game. My character idea is a TransWoman (MtF) Half Elf Celestial Warlock with her friendly Chipmunk familiar named Chippy. She belongs to an adventurers guild in some big name city and takes jobs on the regular, as she struggles to make a living, because of her big city tastes. She has a fairly decent attitude towards others (since she does alot of jobs and most require working with others.) She has a bit of a fabulous air to herself or at least she thinks so, but she doesnt belittle others for not being so fabulous. Albeit her Valley Girl appearance, shes rather humble and accommodating. Lastly if its not obvious i will provide damage and healing, but wouldnt mind other healers too since Celetial Warlocks arent full healers. Thanks for taking the time to read this! Kru ~

Hi.  Always good to see new players getting into the hobby. My name's Jason.  I'm a long time player - I started when I was a kid with the Red Box in '83.  I've played a lot of games besides D&D and like to bring some of the ideas I find into a game. As far as a character concept, I find that as a player I'm comfortable taking any role at the table, whether it's leader or a support.  If we're looking at a bard and possibly a warlock already, I might be prone to play a fighter or cleric or even paladin, depending on how the rest of the group pans out. (Character) Name: Kalib Romane Race/Class: Half-Elf/Rogue Age: 24 Backstory: With his Mother and Father working themselves to the grave, he was left alone poor along with his little sister, the town wasn't fond of any Half-Elves or race alike based upon recent acts of War between Human, because of such hatred, their Ruler of the Town ordered all Half-Elves to be captured and thrown out. Meanwhile a Riot struck out and the town of those who disagreed sought to fight back with little to fight with, easily overran by guards and taken forcibly onto a Large wagon, The guards had separated Kalib from his sister during the scene. Kalib managed to disarm and impale not 1 but 3 guards before brutally knocked out, Imprisoned later beaten by many methods of torture. The Ruler of Town (Name can be given if discussed privately) ordered for Kalib's Execution a week after the riot as an example for those who want to defy his commands...But instead the Ruler had other plans, he declined his death and made Kalib his personal Dog. Kalib would be ordered and sent out to various lands and collect Bounties, then return, No questions asked. Kalib took the freedom of such work to not only earn the little coin he was offered without negotiation but in search of his little sister, and one day Kalib sought to seek revenge to the one that not only gave him a second chance, but the one who took away his first.

Hello! My name is James. For the last 4 years I've been playing 5e D&D with the same group over 4 campaigns (and a ton of one-shots). I'm now looking to join another campaign and meet new players that are comfortable and encouraging of roleplay. As for character ideas, I'm comfortable fitting into any role, but I have an idea for a Half-Elf Circle of the Shepard Druid: He would have grown up with his mother and father in the woods miles from the nearest town or city. He was taught to worship and treat the land well and that it would take care of him in kind. As a young man he found himself fascinated by information lost to time and now, as a 23 year old man, he's leaving home to explore ruins (preferably with a group) to learn about and document history.
