Edit: Applications are closed - thank you everyone who applied, I will notify you about my decision (or an interview date) shortly! :) Good to see you :) For the quick ones. Time: Monday evenings probably around 7pm GMT+1 (the starting time might change), playing for 4+ hours Players: 1-2 more (4 players is my limit and I have 2-3 from earlier games, Bard is taken as a class, one player is on the fence because of the system). Newcomers are welcome as long as they take the group, me as the GM & roleplaying seriously. Technical Stuff: Need a working microphone with acceptable quality, don't need a camera as no one so far uses one. Communication will be via Teamspeak (its free and better quality than Skype). Taken classes are of course taken but anything else should be up for grabs (not sure about the Paladin though, honestly). We will likely play Monday evenings for 4-5 hours each session with some chatting at the end of session (end of session move, what we liked, what we didn't, does the tone work for everyone, what should be changed etc.). Send in applications via pm with a rough character concept and ideally some basic info about yourself. Current agerange in the group is between 25 and 35 but what is most important to me is that you are reliable and into creating an interesting story together with the rest of us. Depending on the application I won't schedule interviews with everyone but I will respond to every pm I receive, more care given to those that seem genuinely interested or even ask questions (*gasp* ;) ). ------ A bit more information about the campaign. This is a brand new campaign and the people playing as well as the person GMing are new to the Dungeon World system but not to roleplaying in general. I myself have been a GM for about a decade (a player for more than that) with various systems like Star Wars, D&D 3.5, White Wolf stuff, Pathfinder, DSA (The Black Eye) and just freeform fun and am very much looking forward to trying out a somewhat more laid back approach to prep and GMing where I don't plan out half of the world before even the first session. We will actually have a conversation about desired tone and how dangerous the world should be etc. during character creation at the beginning of our first session, so please be prepared to be at least somewhat involved in the ongoing process and very much voice your opinion, please. Good communication is key. As per the DW rules, we (and that includes me as the GM) will play to find out what happens, very much seat of your pants open world style where you decide where you want to go and what to do, though of course each session and interaction (as well as character backgrounds & bonds) gives me as the GM stuff to build on. The campaign will - like any other - surely have some humor in it but I ask my players to try and take situations and other characters (be they PC or NPC) seriously, meaning that insulting someone higher up will have consequences. this is a good rule in general to remember: Actions will have consequences , as will inaction, of course... :) For rules regarding netiquette (yes, they have unfortunately proven to be necessary) please refer to the campaign listing here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/15550/dungeon-w... It might not be up yet as I just listed it - if so, check back in an hour thats about as long as it takes for the system to update itself. You can also find the probable date & time for our first session there (it shows the time in your timezone) at which point we would also create the more elaborate stuff of the characters together and players will have a chance to veto aspects of other characters if they feel it will be impossible to play with them for one reason or another. The criticism for that, of course, must be constructive. -Maybe- we will be able to already start this monday (I would certainly love to), but I doubt that everyone will be ready by then. I think. Maybe you will all surprise me :) I allow PVP in-character, the characters will probably know each other but they don't have to like each other or favor the same approach or even have the same goals entirely. Out of character everything should stay respectful which is one of the reasons why I feel it is important to chat a bit after each session to make sure everyone is still okay with everyone. Any questions, just ask here or again via pm :)
