Report inactive Campaign feature

I notice a LOT of games that have been open for many months with hundreds of applications and yet no movement.   Contacting the DM or players provides no answer and many people to through all the hoops the GM asks them to only to get no reply.   More and more add their applications and yet no movement.   Could there possibly be a "Report inactive campaign" feature to help cull or cut down on the number of campaigns listed so that more active ones get spotlight?  A simple check from a Roll20 mod or something with the DM and players could verify a campaign being active.   Perhaps another feature similar to check about activity of a listing?  Or a way for a posting to have to be re-verified after a week by a DM?
I don't now if others have this experience but again its mine which is why I post this.   So if you search for games to join sometimes, you'll see there's games listed looking for new players. You try to join and you notice they have like 6 months worth of people waiting to get in with no acknowledgement from the DM. Try to apply, no activity, try to contact DM, no activity, try to contact players, no activity, the listing stays up, taking space and desperate people post to join.  People who are desperate for experience but don't yet have the experience making something.   They never get to be players and thus a lack of DM's with experience which continues the cycle.  At least in my opinion.
