Adding Power Modifier Selection To A Spell Macro In Savage Worlds

So, I'm rolling up a new character with an AB in our campaign. I'm getting the Powers ready on the sheet and I'd been looking at the use of Power Modifiers in SWADE. Initially, I was going to create a new Power for each of the combinations I'm likely to use, e.g. Bolt and Fatigue or Darkness and Hinder. However, it seems to me that the optimal strategy (and to avoid having twenty slightly different spells) would be to add a popup when a Power is rolled that asks if one of x Power Modifiers is being used and then append the relevant addition to the notes section of the Power output in chat. For instance, when I click the Bolt macro, a popup appears asking if I am casting Bolt with Fatiguing, Lingering or no Power Modifier. After I choose, the dice roll and the Power shows up in chat, the notes for the Power would include the Power Modifier notes, e.g. '3PP; One point of Fatigue on a successful hit' or '3PP; Victim suffers the Power's base damage minus one die type at the start their next turn.' Is this in any way possible? Also, would there be a way to adjust the Power name based on selection? So, Bolt would become Fatiguing Bolt or Lingering Bolt in the output Title. I know the dropdown is feasible, but the rest is beyond me. Am I way over-complicating things and should just put any Power Modifiers I might use in the notes and forget about the alteration to the Power name?

Is it possible? Yep. However, if you want this sort of thing, you'd need to construct a macro for each power to include the relevant roll query. To alter the name, you'd need a second roll query in the macro, as well.

So, having done a quick test of an idea, you can actually put the query as the name of the of the Power on the character sheet. If you do that, it'll pop up the query for what type of bolt you want. You can also the do the same for the Notes. BUT, because the queries are different (meaning, with the name, you don't need the notes info, etc) you will get 2 different pop ups instead of a single. These are in addition to any other pop ups that may be configured (such as collecting modifiers). Here's what it would looks like on the character sheet And here's what the output looks like:
Finderski, you are still the man! I'm at work, but I'll check this out over the weekend. Brilliant! So much appreciation for your generosity and big brain! Judah
So, did some testing at work (because I'm a horrible person and couldn't wait). I get three popups. The first selects the name that gets output to the chat on the attack roll while the second selects what notes get added to the chat output on that roll. The third popup selects the name that gets output to the damage roll in chat. It would obviously be preferable to only have one popup do the selection for all three, but I'm not complaining. This is still great and certainly better than writing up # spells x modifiers. For anybody wanting to try this, the query has to be different on the spell name and notes otherwise the notes query gets disregarded, e.g. in Finderski's example above, the query in the name portion is ' T ype of Bolt' and the query in notes is ' t ype of Bolt'.
