We've lost a couple of players to summer travel, so we are looking for some new players. The
campaign is currently at about third level, so still low-level, set in a
homebrew world that mostly uses standard rules. This is a roleplaying
centric campaign, with a mix of serious and humor, but lots of
opportunity to develop and explore the character of a character. Rich
backstories are fun. We are particularly open to players who bring
diverse perspectives to play. More about the world: The Ten Queendoms The
game is set in Buvaresh, one of the Ten Queendoms. The world has thin
edges with other planes, and Buvaresh in particular is very close to the
Feywild. Each queendom is (no surprise) ruled by a queen, but each
queendom is also aligned with one of the ten great goddesses, after
which each queendom is named. These goddesses and their agents
participate lightly in the events of the world. Buvaresh
(like our game) is particularly devoted to an "All are welcome" policy:
all races are welcome here, so long as all are commited to a life lived
in harmony with the land and each other. Needless to say, that is
aspirational, rather than the active status quo. In
the campaign, the party is a newly assembled team within an
adventurer's guild locally led by a somewhat hard character, a woman
with an international reputation for ruthless efficiency. Why she has
been assigned to a seeming backwater is a bit of a puzzle. Her tolerance
for shenanigans is very low, but her rewards for loyalty and success
are ample. The Game We
currently meet every other week, using Roll20 and D&D beyond and
discord. Each (game) week, there is a new edition of the local
newspaper, and each play session, I write up session notes. The existing
session notes are available for review to anyone who might be seriously
interested. The structure is episodic in nature, although we do not
always complete one episode per session. Or... a new campaign? If
there is an existing party looking for a new campaign to start with, or
there is overwhelming interest, I am also open to starting a second
campaign in the world, with possibilities for crossover. Join, Observe, or Drop-in The
format is well suited to drop-in players, so if anyone wants to sit in
on a session to observe, or drop in to play a potential one-time
character, those options are available. All Are Welcome I
cannot emphasize enough: I am looking for diverse perspectives and
players... assuming you are ready to dive into a flexible
role-play-first rules-play-second style of gaming, and would like to be
both collaborative and constructive in a "let's all have fun with this"
way that doesn't take it too, too far in the silly direction, but still
allows for levity.
