(I posted the text below in an enhancement request, but am now posting a bug report for it because I believe that it is a "problem" with the current design. I did search for similar bug reports and found none, but I apologize if I missed one.)
Regardless of the game system, there will be some tokens intended to represent characters (player- or NPC-), and this is represented already a couple places in the UI help text / product documentation. These character enties are obviously the same items listed in the journal table under "Characters". "Names" of tokens signify the same Character entities (if that's not obvious, then consider that these names are listed in the Turn Order widget). Yet there is a total disconnect between these two things in the interface".
Forget click and drag and other fancy UI candy. Let's just have a consistent data model beneath the UI where "characters" are "characters" and there is not a total disconnect between Journal characters and token characters.
If there is already some way for GMs to correlate these two things, or if there is some valid reason why they need to be independent, please correct me.
