Game:  D&D 5e Group type:  Online, Roll20 ofc Experience:  6 years with a mix of playing and DM'ing Location/Timezone:  PST Schedule:  We have a firm schedule of every Saturday night at 6 PM (PST). That time may be adjusted in the future due to work stuff, but it's the schedule for the foreseeable future. Roles sought:  1-2 players What I'm looking for in a player:  I welcome anyone and everyone at the table as long as they can respect each and every individual at the table, and be engaged and active within the group. I don't need fancy accents or the most broody and edgy tragic backstory, I just need a player who is genuinely invested in the game and making it into an awesome story. Some things that I don't want in my game are the types of players who are: rude and disruptive, inflexible/unable to handle DM rulings, lack of communication, late arrivals/no shows without a heads up, putting the rules in front of everyone's good time and the flow of the narrative. One thing I want every potential player to know is that the rules are a tool we use to structure these kick ass stories we make together. When a tool doesn't give us what we want or it just doesn't work we either fix it or throw it out. And all of that is arbitrated by the DM exclusively (yeah that's right, this guy right here). Game style:   This group is all about telling a fun and interesting story co-operatively. The narrative, and enjoyment of the table are our first and most important priorities. We love roleplay and do a lot of it, we also love combat, I don't see the two as mutually exclusive. I try my best to make combat and roleplay feel as similar as possible, as each has a profound impact on the direction of the narrative, which is the priority here. I love descriptions and I always try to take the cinematic approach to  the game where possible. Eberron is a high magic/high tech setting. Magic and industry are intertwined, artificers and mage wrights make the world go around in Eberron. In this setting you can expect intrigue, high flying pulp action, whimsical whackiness, and dark, sinister machinations. Now the game itself. It takes place in Eberron, 4 years after the end of the "Last War". This war plagued an entire continent for 100 years and ended abruptly when an entire nation was destroyed by a mysterious fog in the span of one day. An uneasy peace has been found in the wake of that tragedy, and now that fighting has ceased, healing can begin. That's the way it appears at least, behind the curtain nations continue to plot, dragon marked houses play the field, supporting what ever side serves them best. Behind this thinly veiled peace, a magical arms race is running on a scale that could very well have cosmic consequences. Dragon marked houses work double time to create offenses and defenses in preparation of the impending burst of the peace bubble. The nations of Khorvaire have artificers and magewrights working tirelessly to stay one step ahead, while government spies infiltrate and gather secrets. Ancient ruins of societies long passed are being raided to find sources of forgotten power. There are those who dream of the perfect soldier and conduct grisly experiments to make it come true. Darkness is all around, will you stand up against it? Or let it swallow you whole? The Details: Level: 5 Levelling/Experience: Home brew (goal based experience) Comp. of current party: Bard/fighter, Artificer (Armorer) Available classes: Any (don't feel like you need to fill a role, play what you want to play) Races: Any, however Eberron does have it's own list of native lineages. If you want something not on that list we will have to work together to explain it so it fits the canon. UA/Homebrew content: Allowed. But I need to approve it. And it needs to be something unique, not something that already exists or bears a strong similarity to already official content. That moment when you step onto an airship while in character for the first time: Priceless. If this gets your motor goin, please contact me in DM's and tell me: What do you want out of a DnD game? What is your favorite moment of past games that you have had while playing DnD? What expectations do YOU have for a DnD group? In one word tell me what the most important thing about playing DnD is to you. Throw down 3 off the cuff character concepts, don't think too hard, just write. I'm not looking for a backstory of the character you want to play, I want random on the spot character ideas. Keep it to a sentence or two. Concepts: And finally, let me know if you have any questions at all! I look forward to hearing from all of you.
