of saltmarsh, an island off the coast of Greyhawk known for its cutthroats,
beautiful women and some of the best rum around. To make a name for yourself
you must carve your way through some of the most dreadful monster greyhawk has
to offer! Either by cannon or by cutlass you will be heroes someday or perhaps
you will become villains. Glory, Gold and the Sea awaits you, Will you earn you
name by blood or by deed!? Neither the flames nor depths can claim you, a resident of
saltmarsh, you grew up tough, gritty and ready for a fight.. Or perhaps you
grew up normally in the suburbs with richer parents who treated you kindly.
Whatever your origins maybe, you’ll find yourself in a tavern with the rest of
the group. Considered regulars you are, you drink together as if day will be
your last; it just might be. News of Murders and disappearances as of late have
many alarmed. The people look to you unlock the mysteries of
Saltmarsh. However, the pirates who profit from the chaos, frequently raid
and smuggle goods in and out of the ports might try and stop you, or will you
join them? Expectations I am a storyteller, I treat my campaigns as tales of valor,
friendship, and teamwork even if it is an evil campaign. This is your campaign,
not mine. I am your humble chronicler of deed, a bard whose quill is driven by
the story you create. I do my best to breathe life into your character’s
actions and elevate them ever soaring heights. I am a kind DM, I allow “rules
of cool” to a point, with, I expect my players to be honest. I understand RAW
but dnd was never meant to be a game of hard rules because it is one driven by
imagination. Just remember, Monsters and players alike things outside of RAW
will happen for the better or worse the game will go on and we will keep thing fun
and thrilling. We together will establish what's what in session 0. Be sure to take notes, this campaign will be heavy on puzzles,
team-work and the overall world around.
If I direct the players somewhere and you want
to do something different, please stop and tell me what you would like to do.
My job is to be professionally interrupted so please, drive the story how you
wish. However, there is a time and a place.
I am a patient and kind DM, I always trust my
players as much as I can, though I do not have all spells and skills memorized
so from time to time I will need them posted in chat. That is until I become
more intimately familiar with your characters. My biggest pet peeves are lying,
rules lawyering and being mean/making fun of players. Do not cheat or metagame, cheating will result in an immediate
ejection from the game and you will have to write me and your fellow members an
apology, i will decide further action after sessions and discuss with the
players if they want to keep you or not. A second offense will result in being
removed and banned from all of my games in the future. As for Meta, I understand we all do it sometimes but, in my world,
no two same creatures are identical, everything will be special in some way,
consistent metagaming will result in a warning, second offense will result in
removal from the session, third offense will be removal from that particular
game. My goal is character development, fun, and thinking about what
your hero would do to keep a game moving forward and always fun for everyone. No matter if you are the best player or the worst player, always
be respectful. I expect my veterans to be helpful and kind to newer players and
I expect my newer players to be attentive to older players to learn.
Campaign will be: 50% RP/ 30% combat/20% adventuring (numbers may
vary depending on campaign but this is my goal)
