We have another contender in the mix! Saturday night I will either be running a Learn to Play for Heart: the City beneath OR Blades in the Dark. Both games are free, fun, and a great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday night. Here's the link for Heart- https://startplaying.games/adventure/6102fb2ce0340e0008653dbe Here's the link for Blades in the Dark- https://startplaying.games/adventure/60e786d65574ec000908690e If you want to know more post a question here. I'll answer your question, and it will also drive views to this post which increases the chances that the game(s) go off. Here are some samples- What is this game like? What kind of play does this game encourage? How long have you been a shameless self-promoter? Hope to hear from you soon!
We have one player signed up for Heart. What is Heart: the City Beneath you ask? Really- ask.
Excited to have the chance to play Heart! The only other out-of-box setting that excites me that much is….. Blades in the Dark, actually! I’ve run it a lot but never played. So, it looks like I win either way.

Two players in for Heart: the City Beneath. Will no one vote for Blades in the Dark? Is there another game you'd like to Learn to Play? There's a solid chance I know it, or at the least could learn it pretty quick. Unless it's hard sc-fi. Because of various reasons. What are the reasons? You should definitely ask in this thread. Maybe others would want to know as well.
I've played a single session of Heart before. It's a fun if niche game. Plays alot like some other games built using the Powered by the Apocalypse system. If I were to describe it in a few words: a dungeon delving horror game set in an eldritch underground environment.
Good description of Heart! Someone told me that 2.4% of people will respond to a question posed on a community message board. Do you think they're right?
Greetings GMRayNagle, Myself and my partner are interested in learning more about Heart: the City Beneath. Do you require your players to use a webcam? If not, we both might like to play, please. Also: why no hard scifi? Also also: cats or dogs?
No webcam needed! Please sign up ASAP, as slots are filling fast. Question #1- It is painful when I try to describe ANYTHING in scientific terms, so it is very unsatisfying for my players. in related news, my sci-fi character for Stars Without Number had a high science/knowledge skill, so I would roll the dice and have the other players describe how I "scienced" the situation. Question #2- Dogs. Cats are just waiting for their owners to pass away so that they can eat their eyes. I am certain this belief has NOTHING to do with the fact that my throat closes up and I break out in hives when around cats. Surely not.
I signed up for blades in the dark!! join meeee
Thank you. We have signed up and look forward to it!
Heart has risen victorious! At this time there is one more seat available. I will also run more Learn to Play games in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for those opportunities. happy gaming!
