So I had a plan in place for tuesday which fell apart sunday. I was inclined to leave it alone, but the infinitely wise and all-knowing Magic 8-Ball told me to replace it with something. Since Magic 8-Balls are made of plastic, and plastic can last centuries; i inferred centuries of wisdom in the Magic 8-Ball's words, and am now attempting to replace it. Plus, they're magic , it's right in the name. Why wouldn't i listen to what it says? What i'm replacing it with is called "Moccasin Hill" by the map, and "pretty reliable" by the guy running it. Basically, you're hired for a delivery to a small swamp town. You arrive in town, enter the tavern, and then basically do whatever you find interesting! Personal or party-wide goals are a great help, and the crazier they are, the more at home they are in Moccasin Hill. The specific system is almost of no consequence. All versions of D&D share so many pieces with the next, anyone that can pull back from the minutia of rule-changes can play any version with the right group. There are pre-mades you can use, or we can use the "Bethesda Method" and have a unique character ready in 10 minutes. (The Bethesda Method in this context means that you make all the decisions about your character, but i handle the numbers and tedium.) But for those who won't consider it without knowing the version, it's BECMI OD&D. Although if the version becomes an issue for anyone, something's gone wrong. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/15637/moccasin-hill-7-22-14
