WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN? COLLABORATION: You're not the only party in this world, this means you guys can roleplay with different players and experience new things, as well as get involved in collaborative storytelling. My world is incredibly rich now after having so many people involve themselves in my world. I'd be incredibly excited to see what this fresh, weekday group could bring to the table. Players who leave, retire, or finish adventuring become NPCs in my world, which adds further flair to my stories. SANDBOX: My adventures are typically Sandbox, meaning that your decisions carry weight in the outcome of the scenarios. Sometimes I run plugin-modules from the 80s and 90s, but typically these modules just add quality and professionalism to an already interesting game. IMMERSION: I do my best as a Dungeon Master to make sure that everything makes sense, that things can weave and overlap and create a concrete story. CUSTOM MAPS: I create most of my battle maps from scratch, which includes shading, hundreds of different items that can make a map feel real. I can make Dungeon Maps, Taverns, Terrain, etc. I typically don't use theatre of the mind often, unless I didn't have that exact thing ready. OPPORTUNITY: As a player, you have the opportunity to change the world. You can buy land, become a nobleman, fight in huge arenas in front of roaring crowds, develop businesses, build a keep. The decision is yours in Heimland! MUSIC: I spend a lot of time adding music to my games, and there is never silence in my games. There is always some form of ambience, or musical orchestra in my games. IMPROV: I enjoy improvising and don't mind players deviating from the story in focus of something else. I think it's always important that players get opportunities to focus on other things, which is why I give my players downtime activities regularly. These can be used to learn languages, train, carouse with NPCs, battle in the arenas, etc. NPC VOICES: I enjoy roleplaying, and I have a pretty solid voice-range that allows me to fill in a lot of different rolls. Additionally, I have a voice modulator that allows me to roleplay as Giants, Dragons, and dozens of other things. GREAT HOMEBREW RULES: I use a handful of Homebrew Rules which better shapes the joint-world we play in. These rules can be discussed when enquiring to join. THE GRAND CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW The story is set around a magical artefact, known as the Attaraxia. This artefact was once forged by three powerful beings. An elf high priestess, a dwarven sorcerer, and a human druid. These three individuals forged this item for a purpose, the purpose being to defeat the Valorians. The Valorians, a Human Kingdom, marched their legions towards the east, squashing everything that stood in their way. They gave this artefact to the Elven Prince, Tarodun, a loyal vassal of the High King of the Elves, to fend off the advances of the enemy's relentless attack. Over time, Tarodun became corrupted by the pure power of the item, being allotted many abilities, including the power to command and control others. He became sick, evil, twisted, and his allies including the dwarves of Karrator soon either fled or switched sides. As retribution, Tarodun made a deal with the migrating orcs from the south that if they would fight for the Elven Prince, they would be afforded all of the lands that was once owned by dwarves. This deal was signed, and the orcs waged a bloody, brutal guerrilla war on all those whom opposed Tarodun. Soon they became complacent, wallowing in the spoils of the dwarven lands, and turned their back on him. He is legendary amongst the orcs, as Tarodun forced many of the leaders to continue to fight against their will, using his master weapon as a beacon of destruction for all. Tarodun's crimes were sick, as he got involved in dark rituals, blood magic, anything he could do to remain in power. During this process, he found the secret of immortality. Despite his immense power and more, Tarodun was eventually captured. A dark magic had infested his soul, one that no amount of radiant power could subdue. They encased Tarodun within a platinum sarcophagus, so he may never again wreak havoc on the world. A century later, in a time of relative peace, many folk did not have a care in the world. But, unbeknownst to them, a group of adventurers went on an expedition to his tomb and accidently awoke him from his slumber. He once again now walks amongst the living. Can Tarodun and his forces be defeated once more, or will he finally take his rightful play as King of the East? Join and become a part of legend. Join and take back Karrator! OOC INFORMATION I currently run three games per week for 14 boys and gals. These games are on Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays respectively. I'm recruiting specifically for a candidate for Saturday. I'm looking for an eager player, either new and veteran whom would be interested in exploring an extensively built world, and involving themselves at any capacity with my homebrew module, that three of my parties are involved in currently. When is the game being played?: Saturdays 5PM British Summer Time. How long will this game last for, maximum?: We're about half way through the campaign, maybe a bit more. We're likely to keep playing until just after christmas or more, then we'll think about starting a fresh game. What level are the party?: The party are level 6, which is a pretty high level. New players may be able to join at a lower level to begin with to learn the ropes of their character, otherwise they'll be level 6.
