My D & D group is breaking up due to the DM moving to another city. I am looking to run my own game as a DM, I have experience with previous editions but will be running 5e. The game time. Thursday 7:30pm – 11:30pm. (EST) We won’t play on holidays. We will be starting August 12th and have 3 players currently. Setting: It is a homebrew game that I started building during the pandemic. I have built a map, background etc. in roll 20. The Type of Game The game will be a mix of role-play and combat. I run a pretty relaxed game where the players drive the development of the world. There is an epic story in the background but the players will have a lot of influence on the development of the world. The choices they make will influence how the world develops. The world will be a sandbox style. My Rules 1) Show up regularly 2) Don’t discuss topics that would make others feel uncomfortable. This could be politics, sexual related topics etc. I want everyone to have fun and be respectful of the other players. 3) No Murder hobos please. There will be consequences for killing everything that moves. 4) Adults only please. I am in my 40’s and want to play a mature game, sometimes there can be a bit of swearing etc. 5) Be prepared for game night. Have your character leveled up, etc. 6) Have a background for your character, I actually read them and try and integrate it into the story. 7) Character deaths happen, I will not be trying to kill you outside of making things challenging but character death is a real possibility. The party are not invincible be warned, sticking your head in the dragon’s mouth may not be the best idea….. Bringing characters back will be rare, not impossible. If your character dies a horrible death please try and accept it with some maturity. 8)I will be starting everyone at level one. The party will level quickly up to level five. 9) Any official classes are welcome. Although you may need to coach me a little on some of the special class rules. I do have one homebrew paladin class that will be available. I am looking to start August 12th. I would love to have someone join the group that is experienced with the Roll20 software. I have learned a lot such as dynamic lighting, fog of war etc. but it would be nice to have someone that could teach me more. I look forward to meeting those that are interested. Please answer the following questions to me in a personal message. 1) What class do you want to play? 2) What do you like about D&D? 3) What is your character personality? 4) Have you played on Roll20 before? (Just so I know if I need to go over some of the controls)
