LF2P Promethean: the Created (Evening CEST)

Evening everyone! Promethean: The Created was my entry point into the New World of Darkness, and I keep hearing time and time again that it makes for a perfect game to run with few people. Personally, I favor small groups over large ones, so I figure: why not give it a try? I'm looking for two (possibly three people) who have experience with nWoD to the point where you can at the very least create a character without much assistance. I intend to run the game around 7 PM CEST and go on for about three hours. I'm available any day but Friday and Saturday, but other than that, time/date are up for negotiation. Any takers?

I think it would have to be about 11 on your end because I usually am getting out of work around 4EST and have to make my way home

11 is doable, but we'll have to see if anyone else shows up.

If you could endure that time for a few weeks I'll be back in school and we can start playing at 7CEST on Thursdays.

Out of curiosity, would you be interested in a solo campaign?

Good day. I am interested in this, however I have not played any world of darkness games before bar Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, which I loved. Just Read the wiki on Promethean : The Created, sounds like a cool setting. So I'm not exactly what your looking for, however I am willing and able.

I'm good with a solo game but if Dan wants in I don't see why he can't play.

Dan, if you can look through the character creation progress (explained in the main nWoD book) without any major problems, you should be fine. Take note that Promethean is part of the New World of Darkness, whereas Masquerade is Old World of Darkness, so while it's similar in many places, there are a few things that won't line up.

Is there any information you can give us for making characters for the campaign?

Just regular characters, using 35 XP to flesh out the character a bit. I would recommend going with different Lineages, for variety's sake if nothing else.

Core book only or any of the Promethean books?

Assume that anything from the Promethean core book is allowed, but the others must be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Where is it going to be set?

We'll decide that when we start playing. Personally, I don't mind an apocalyptic setting, but that's up to you guys.

Do you mean apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic? Either way, I've never played in those settings before so that could be fun

I was thinking apocalyptic itself, as in during the apocalypse - sort of like the early parts of The Stand, if you've read that. Of course, that's not set in stone. Like I said, it's up to you guys.

The Stand is damn awesome. To be fair, most of what King has written is damn awesome. I'd totally be willing to play in that.

I think I'm going to go with a blues playing Ulgan Mimic. How does that sit with you two?

Still getting to grips with WoD rulebook, will know more soon :P It sounds fine... as far as i know.

I would like to go Nephri Titan, Bounty hunter. If that is cool with you guys. I have not read the stand so I haven't a clue what is going on there, but it sounds fine.

I was super excited when I read a ST was going to open a promethean game, but it turned me down when it is apocalyptical game. It is something which makes some Promethean elements kinda senseless. Good luck with your game.

Like I said, that's just an idea. Completely up to the players as to what we do.

Heh That setting sounds like fall out new Vegas. I presume we will be in a throng with each other? Perhaps we should take this out of the public forum.

An idea of what we could do is modern day or 1930's America. I know that Onyx Path is planning to do the latter in one of their upcoming setting books.

Simple modern day might be the best thing. I don't know nearly enough about the 1930's.

Modren day is the most accessible, for obvious reasons :P

Now do you guys want to have it set in America or Europe? I'm ok anywhere

I do not mind much, however if it is Europe, do we ignore the language thing or set it in an English speaking country?

Sounds good to me. As of right now, I'm busy on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
