&nbsp;In a world recovering from apocalyptic calamity, filled with war, political intrigue, and horrors from beyond the Material Sphere, your destiny awaits. 20 Years ago, the Calamity occurred.&nbsp; The Moon cracked and burst apart, its many pieces falling down to the world and creating mass destruction.&nbsp; The world was brought to the brink, and yet, civilization survived. Within time, the moon returned supernaturally, somehow whole once again, even if the damages of the event remained. Monsters and abominations from outside of the reality that most know invaded the world and were only barely beaten back by courageous, skilled adventurers and heroes.&nbsp; Now, however, a new threat has emerged. In the already sundered humanocentric kingdoms of Artain, once united as a singular monarchy, now split by political strife. A Tear in the Veil that separates the Material Sphere from the Void has been discovered, and a great and terrible evil has emerged from it. Aberrations under the power and authority of the Outer Beings, Dark 'Gods' whos final ends are unknowable, but destructive, writhe and squirm towards the goal of conquering and consuming all. A group of heroes could have prevented this, could have saved the world from this destructive threat... But now their only option is to push back as hard as they can against the tide of darkness before it is too late. With that intro out of the way, allow me to introduce you to myself and this game! This game will be a Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition homebrew campaign taking place on Sundays at 7:30pm CST .&nbsp; My name is Weevil, or Dapper, whichever you prefer. I've been DMing for around 6 or so years and I have a deep passion for cooperative storytelling and roleplay.&nbsp; This campaign will take place in a setting of my own design which I have run campaigns in for as long as I've been DMing (Roughly 7-8 years). Each action you take in this world will have meaning and permanently affect the NPCs, locations, and factions you interact with in this game. Ultimately, I try to build a campaign which integrates backstory and desired character archs for each player in my games, interwoven with a larger plot which is dependent on the parties overall motivations and desired to engage. This game will be a roleplay heavy experience, where each NPC is a hand crafted and carefully thought-out individual with their own wants, needs, and personality traits. Factions you engage with will treat you differently depending on how you've engaged with them in the past, or depending on your race and backstory. You could end up even becoming the leader of one, or founding your very own!&nbsp; -IMPORTANT GAMESTYLE INFO- -The games setting has a "NobleDark" tone to it. Meaning that dark, 18+ subject matter may be explored. Situations may seem hopeless at times, and the threats you face may be too much to face alone. But through wit, luck, and sound strategy no situation is ever truly without recourse. -Evil Alignments are allowed under the clause that players remain professional and that inter-party conflict is kept to a reasonable minimum. No OOC motivated bullying in-game will be tolerated. Try to build a character that can work in a group, even if they are evil. -This game will not go easy on you. There will be times when not having the right information/rushing in blind can be your downfall or lead to a less than favorable outcome. Some NPCs and factions will manipulate your characters if you aren't careful or paying attention.&nbsp; ~IMPORTANT META INFO~ ~The party is currently level 14, the game will go up to level 20 and Epic Boons as well will be involved.&nbsp; ~Starting stats will be determined via 1 of 2 options, determined by Party Vote. 4d6 Drop lowest (place where you want) and then you may replace one stat after rolls with a free 16. Or, Point Buy with an extra +2 to any one stat after racial adjusts.&nbsp; ~I am generous with magic items and rewards. You may be offered to be taught a cantrip as a reward option for helping a powerful spellcaster. At times you'll be granted unique abilities called "Reputation Abilities" based on the actions your character has taken in the world.
