Hello! I have 4 players would still want to expand the roster with 1 potentially 2 players, making for a total of 5 (possibly 6, but unlikely). Disclaimer: Any form of bigotry will not be tolerated and you will be removed without a warning from the game. Any subjects that are counted as triggers for individual people will be removed from "screen time" and treated as fade to black. Exra points if you're also a vegan The group has 4 players and me as a DM, most of us are in the LGBTQ+ community, pronouns are # The game: * Will run on Fridays at 7 pm CEST / 1 pm EDT for 3-4 hours * Will be streamed and thus require you to have a cam and also be comfortable with the game being streamed. * Is a heavily homebrewed modification of 5e with lots of influence from pathfinder focused on making a more realistic & grittier feeling for the players * Is set to officially start on the 10th of September (there will be some "one shots" prior) * Character driven story where the party and their strife is always at the center. Is meant to develop the character throughout the game. # Requirements: * Age of 20+ * Enjoys collective storytelling * Thrives in a sandbox world * Willing to spend time working on character even past creation * Up to a maximum of 60 minutes per week may be required of you to spend upon game related things # How do I run my games? I have DM'd for almost a decade at this point. I run my worlds "biologically", meaning that things will happen off screen and you might miss or see certain events depending on where and when you are. In addition the world will also react to what you are doing. You can leave marks on the world as you go along playing in it. It's always important to know that it's not a "DM vs PC" situation, I will always be there cheering you on as you go about your quests doing cool shit. However, I will not pull punches and will play the world as it is. If you do stupid shit the consequences will be appropriatly handed out by the world. My world, Auber, is a very gritty / realistic world. The changes made to the rules are to reflect this as well. Your characters and their development are what will drive the story forward. If you start out, for example, as a timid character that wants to be brave I want to see that timidness slowly fading away as we go through the world. I will also put up situations where your character is allowed to shine and develop. My style of DMing implements a lot of rolls throughout the session. Sometimes for things that's apparent and other times for the unknown. ***However, it is important to know that I detest the mindset of "I want to persuade this person to X" and then the player proceeds to roll***. You can circumvent many checks if you are good at describing things. Since this game will be streamed it is important that you are comfortable providing descriptions throughout the session. Be it how your character moves in combat, how your character has information about Liches or other things. This to make sure that those listening can get a good idea of what is going on as well. You will get a lot of different rewards as you play. This isn't a video game where the kobolds drop X amount of gold pieces when they die. I try to be creative with rewards and give out things that aren't always just monetary either. Hp, stats, mana, heirlooms, magical set items, favours, magical marks and many other things that I can't think of right now. Anything sexual or overtly violent is going to be "fade to black". ***Roleplaying moments are the reason that I play TTRPGs***. Entire sessions can sometimes be filled with RP and you as a person must be comfortable staying in character for a longer period of time without swinging your sword or casting your magic. Game & world info Here is a link to the world, the changes implemented to the rules and other tidbits. **PLEASE make sure that you at least check over the rule changes.** The world; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZHTf__WmExiasktJvUtDCC6b_fvx579X/view?usp=sharing Map; Https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g4snjcZE-GzyrHzdR_fQwW2EHFwJdt6G/view?usp=sharing Short world TL;DR The world is called "Auber". It's a low magic medium fantasy setting where humans are currently the only playable race. **NOTE that there are still "races", but their race abilities are given by culture.** There are dwarves, elves, gnolls, Thri-Keen and goblins as other humanoid races throughout the world too. The world is in peril as many of the larger kingdoms are on the verge of imploding, or entering new phases where they wish to conquer those around them. The continent (about the size of France) allows for play in various climates. There is much intrigue, many opportunities for RP, exploration and combat in cities. Application Please take time to carefully answer these questions. I am looking for dedication for my games. https://forms.gle/x4edq3sMB6Hf4Qy97
