I'm interested of getting back into a D&D 5e game and am looking for a group to play with sometime between Tuesday and Friday around 6pm EST. I have played quite a bit and DMed 5e, and am looking for a reasonably reliable weekly game. I'm looking for something where the rules, regardless of RAW or Homebrew, are adhered to. The reason for this is my personal creativity is dependent on the bounds I'm given and knowing what I can attempt within the setting I'm playing in. With "Rule of Cool" or less adherence to the rules, I have difficulty knowing what has a reasonable chance of success and subsequently tend to not take those chances and have less fun. This isn't to say I want a game that always breaks down into half the time spent arguing over the rules either. Beyond that, I'm looking for a game that doesn't pull punches, allows for players to play out their story regardless of where that might take them (so more open ended than rails). I also care mostly about the ratio of rp to combat being natural, so if it's 70/30 for a period then 30/70 for another that's fine as long as that was just the natural way of things playing out. I don't want an RP only or combat only campaign though. As for characters I'm considering 3 currently: a Hexblade/Sword Bard, Divine Soul Sorcerer, and a Barbarian/Rogue/Fighter. I have some general characteristics about their personalities and backstories, but would want to know more about your setting before solidifying anything. Outside of that, if there's anything you'd like to know, ask away.
