Also, this is a Beta Test; books will be provided. This is a supers-cosmic horror game. Story : You are an Aethyr, someone newly given powers by a mysterious force known as an Agnati. Now that you've been given these powers, you have to figure out how to use them... and what you intend to do with them!
Let's be honest. There's not a single one of us who would not like to have some level of superpowers.  Ask anyone. In this game, your character has been asked that very question. The point of the game is not what you asked for, rather what you intend to do with it. In the Aethyrblood Chronicles , you play as a slightly above average human being who has been selected by an Agnati - an aspect of some vast cosmic entity - to bear such cosmic power that the world has never seen. There's only one catch: the Covenant , a bond made between the Agnati and the character. After that bond be made real, the character is then changed forever; they are now known as an Aethyr , and it is now their world. The Aethyrblood Chronicles is a table-top role-playing game by Haphazard Projects.  It focuses on the relationships between normal people and Aethyrs, how Aethyrs choose to live their lives, and what is truly meant for them... which is unknown to them but will become most clear as the days move on from one to the next. Several things make The Aethyrblood Chronicles stand out: the four-colour roster of characters provided to help you express the timeline of events that make up this campaign book, the fact that powers are meant to be deal with intent and feeling, not simply mechanics; and the unique DPS System that powers the game. The DPS System is fluid and adaptable. Rather than having set rules for everything, your actions are defined by the way you design them yourself. There are no classes, templates, big math, or anything of the like. You make the character that you want to play! Each character has three Attributes (Physique, Psyche, and Soul), and these Attributes have a number of Traits (such as strength, agility, willpower, and perception). Each has a single digit ranging between a 0 to a +6 with "0" being the score a normal human begins with and builds from there. There are only eight Skills - Athletics, Combat, Criminal, Mystic, Scholastics, Social, Technical, and Wilderness. Between these, a character can literally attempt anything by rolling the appropriate dice and adding the levels they possess in a given Skill. There are no separate rules for perception, savings throws, resistance rolls, or other such complications. For example, if you are trying to search for tech, it is a simple Psyche-based Technical Skill Check, or say you want to avoid a strike in a dangerous encounter: it is a Physique-based Combat Skill Check .  Players may Specialise their characters in any task that relates to one of the Eight Skills to improve their odds of success, providing a +1 to a +6. A complete Skill Check for striking someone with a closed fist might look like the following: Physique + agility + Combat + unarmed strikes. Two dice. Two bonuses between 0 to 6. Add them up, and gives you the Active Result. Modifiers can and do apply. Come and try out a unique supers game. It's calling you... it's in your blood.
