[LFP][FREE][5E][3pm CST Saturday] LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL PLAYERS FOR OUR HOMEBREW CAMPAIGN

Hi! My name's Carl. I've recently made a homebrew game for a group of friends. Recently, 2 of them had to leave for personal reasons. I'm looking for 1 or more players for a long-term campaign up until level 11-15. It's not the most serious of groups and most of them err on the side of carelessness, so you might have to be the voice of reason from time to time. THE DM: I'm a fairly new DM so I may commit mistakes and forget existing rules from time to time (Read: All the goddamn time). I have an outline for the plot of the game but I generally take the game into a  Sandbox campaign . It's your choice wherever you wanna go! Be it along the paved path of the Plot Hook Hills or just explore the unfamiliar lands. I'm fairly lenient with homebrew. I stutter from time to time but whenever possible I will type out what I say on the Discord server or the chat in-game. Don't know what else to say. THE WORLD: The setting of the campaign is in a homebrew world of my creation and plagiarization . There are 4 known continents surrounded by 3 oceans with 2 known endpoints. This includes some homebrew gods but the regular 5e pantheon is still included, though their influence on the world is quite rare and minuscule.  THE PREMISE: For 2000 years the continent of Arcanus has been isolated from the rest of the world. Colossal rock formations surrounded the continent as if using their bodies to shield the world from the horrors within. Numerous expeditions from Avarathia, Degusa, and the Tastussos Archipelago to explore and identify the inhabitants of the continent proved to be futile. None returned. After the failed attempts of various nations, the Tempe of the Great Gods has decided to intervene. Sending five Archbishops and two Paladin Orders aboard the warship, Titanomarch. The group traversed the monster-filled ocean as they readied themselves for whatever is hiding in Arcanus. No one knew what happened during the expedition. Only that one archbishop and three paladins returned alive to tell the world of the greatest of news, "Arcanus has opened up! Rejoice for thy shall only accept exiles and banished!" After thousands of years, the mysterious continent had finally opened up. The only catch is they are not taking tourists, only outcasts and exiles. Thousands of creatures boarder the twenty ships coming from four different continents, almost all of them were exiles and social pariahs. Almost.  THE STORY SO FAR: As you disembark on your ship and land upon the snow-filled ports of Black Cliff, hundreds of soldiers carrying manacles and shackles surrounded both the passengers and crew of the ships. A well-dressed official started spreading an Imperial Decree that considers those who disembark the ships as "criminals" as the soldiers force the passengers into the manacles and force them into cages. You suddenly heard a series of steel clashing as far ahead of a group of rugged misfits kill a dozen guards and escape off towards the city... To be fucking honest, they've barely done anything and I even had to force them off the starting city just so they explore the world. You can choose whether to be a prisoner who escaped captivity, an extremely agile creature who stealthed (Is that a word?) their way out of the situation, or just broke their way out of the thing whilst killing a few guards. Your choice.  THE PARTY: Kallar: Kobold Fiend Warlock Umsh: Half-orc Zealot Barbarian Sir Plexus (Suplexus): Warforged Pugilist (Homebrew) CHARACTER CREATION: Start at Level 2 Roll for Ability Score twice Roll for HP All races, subclasses in official WotC core books are allowed except for Variant Human (i.e. PHB, DMG, XGE, TCE, ERLW, Ph.D., OCD, et. al) Free feat at 4th level. Lucky feat is allowed (but it can only be used once per roll.) Keen Mind is not allowed ( because I tend to forget the lore that I say.) Take both starting equipment and gold HOMEBREW RULES: Flanking When a creature and at least one of its allies are adjacent to an enemy and on opposite sides or corners of the enemy's space, they flank that enemy, and each of them has advantage on melee attack rolls against that enemy. When in doubt about whether two creatures flank an enemy on a grid, trace an imaginary line between the centers of the creatures' spaces. If the line passes through opposite sides or corners of the enemy's space, the enemy is flanked. Rolling for Life Players must roll for life incremental at any level advancement. Any result of “1” will be considered 0, and the player will re-roll once. Healing Potions Using a Healing potion for yourself will be considered as a Bonus Action whilst feeding one to another character will be an Action. Other rules on the Discord server. WHAT I NEED FROM YOU: Whenever I have exams, I've always hated essay questions. Not because I hate to state a long answer but it's so fucking exhausting to check if I used correct fucking punctuation. So, I just want to ask one question. Tell me about yourself? Feel free to message or comment if you're interested. Cheers!
Me: Nik, 26, she/her living in New York. I am, admittedly, a dead beginner with no campaign experience. I do, however, have degree in theater and over 10 years of collaborative writing text RPG, though never DnD/voice roleplay (though I suppose time on stage counts to an extent!) I am a quick study with a keen interest in fantasy type rpgs, willing to read, learn, study, and adapt to whatever role my character takes up in the party. I have interest in picking up either a rogue or a bard playing in my head - or a rougeish bard, or a bardish rogue, whichever tickles the fancy most and would most benefit the party AND the players enjoyment. I enjoy problem solving and problem creation, within reason, when needed to advance or enrich a story. Very character driven, even in my on-stage roles. I like to know why things and people tick the way they do, or discover what screw came loose to provoke a character to have no reason at all. I may ask questions or need some help, but this sounds very up my alley and fits well into my availability as a chronically ill twenty something in a pandemic hotspot. If I'm someone who might fit the group please do let me know! I'm communicative about conflicts (usually only dr  visits and dealing w my animals and their medical needs, which I normally have advance notice of) and reliable on times with multiple means of contacting DM/players in a worst case scenario.
Hey, I am interested in joining this campaign. I have a fair bit of experience, mostly on roll20. I can build and manage characters well enough but sometimes miss the specifics and whatnot still. I enjoy a solid mix of puzzles, problem solving, combat, RP. I've got a few fun character builds I'd like to try out, we can discuss what would work best in your current party. Typically I make characters with pretty decent backstories the DM can play off of if necessary and I have always wanted to get into a campaign where my characters personal motivations are their own and some stuff to bring the group together for adventures when necessary. Let me know if you think this seems like a compatible endeavor.

I'd be interested (though with GenCon will be busy in two weeks).  One suggestion though: if you are pulling in internet randos I'd recommend some kind of chat before dumping them in your game/world.  There isn't really a reason to write in a new character if the player isn't going to mesh with the group, so giving people a chance to interact beforehand can if not stop the "this isn't working out..." talks then at least do them before you wrote someone in. Me (Tookie): I'm a nerd that has been playing/running games for more than 20 years (piles of different games and settings).  While I tend to know rules, I'm not a rules lawyer.  I might ask to confirm a ruling if a GM sounds unsure: "rules say [blah], are you meaning to house rule?" but a "yeah house rule" means that is the house rule. I can do speech patterns on characters, but am super terrible at accents so that probably isn't going to happen. I make my living in software so occasionally I might be annoyed after a frustrating week but work shouldn't ever cause me to miss your sessions (said earlier going to be at GenCon in two weeks if you are looking to start people right away). I'm assuming that the no variant humans is to limit wacky feat hijinks at the start, but how do you feel about the different ways of doing alternate Tieflings (SCAG,  Mordenkainen's, I think there are some UA as well )?
Interested in maybe joining up. About myself? I enjoy playing D and D and usually make a toon based on party needs. I have really enjoyed the cleric side of things lately and would lean heavily in that direction. Keeping the party up while blasting away at the baddies is what I do. Also some good RP is fun as well. Plus the words "Sandbox World" gets me super interested. I also got cookie cake and beer! If ya interested, just DM me. I will get with ya as soon as I am able.

Hey! Not sure if you're still looking for people, but I figured I'd still try. I've been playing D&D for roughly a year sorta. I've been in 3 different campaigns but only one of them really went anywhere and even then, we only got to level 4. I'm looking for a group that I can play with for a decent amount of time and hopefully make some new friends. I've got quite a few character ideas, but my main one currently is a reborn eldritch knight who died and came back thanks to a spirit that now resides within him.  My time zone is EST, but I'm available all day on Saturdays so it shouldn't be an issue. I take pride in the fact that I'm virtually never late to obligations and if something happens, I definitely communicate and let people know. I'm not entirely sure what else to add lol so if you got any questions, I'm more than happy to answer them.
If this hasn't filled up yet, I'd be interested! My name's Dawn (she/her, 22) and I'm in CST. I have a late-night game on Saturdays but am completely open in the afternoon!  I've been playing D&D since 2017 and would say I'm pretty experienced with 5e. I like a good mix of roleplay and combat, and if you're the type of group that really encourages character interaction I would like that a lot, and I'd like a friendly group since I'm pretty socially awkward. I have a life cleric concept I've been really into and wanting to play, some homebrew is involved that I'll have to clear with you though.
