[LFG] [D&D5E] [GMT+1] Experienced Player Looking for Roleplay Heavy Campaign

Hello to all Dice Nerds and Geeks, My name is DutchVikingrSaga, but for ease perhaps just calling me Dutch works better. I'm a twenty-seven year old Dungeons and Dragons player that's in search for a new campaign to fill in the time slot for my evening. I'm looking for a Roleplay Heavy Campaign, doesn't matter whether it's module or not, but would prefer homebrew overall. As for what modules I've played, I've only played Out of the Abyss and Ghosts of the Saltmarsh , in which I'm looking for a Ghosts of the Saltmarsh campaign, given mine ended quite soon into the overall campaign. As for my personality, I'm goofy, bombastic, over-the-top, and an avid lover of anime and naturally roleplay. I streamed on Twitch here and there, and don't mind streaming the campaign on there either, if that's an interest of the other players and DM. Overall I'm also someone that's very empathetic, very caring and very nurturing. Overall quite laid back and wanting to have fun here. I'm looking for a campaign that starts around noon EST for the sake of time zones. Around 12:00PM or 1PM EST give or take. Somewhere around that timeframe. Experience wise I have about four or so years of Dungeons and Dragons 5E experience, with having Dungeon Mastered two campaigns myself. I'm also looking for a medieval/traditional styled Dungeons and Dragons game. Preference as well to something potentially Nordic in story telling. So if you're looking for another player, and if your game fits the time frame. Please DM me or reply on this thread. Not looking for a paid game. Don't have the funding for that, I'm afraid.

would you be interested in a fantasy setting that uses the D6 system , there are no classes or levels so you can mix and match whatever you want , we have a game starting at 6pm UK time today (Saturday 25th) , either PM me or my discord is suntzu777#0572 Rob

Plus it sounds a bit too open to interpretation. I'm looking for something with at least a set rules. I'm open to other system ideas, like Pathfinder for example, but at the very least it needs to have a form of rules set. And this sounds a bit too open to me.
Would also like to add- It doesn't necessarily have to be a Nordic campaign in particular. My main concern is that it isn't a Sci-Fi campaign, as that isn't really my cup of tea in terms of roleplay and tabletop adventures. I'm looking for something medieval/traditional style. Meaning Forgotten Realms is completely fine too. I have only done Ghosts of the Saltmarsh and Out of the Abyss, but I'm open to other modules as well. What kind of character- What kind of character I'm looking to play depends on the group I may join and the overall setting. I'm kind of like a blacksmith's raw material. That means that depending on the group I'm in, the story and setting, I adjust my character according to the party, the setting and work with the Dungeon Master to make a character that would fit perfectly within the world and would work well with the group mechanically. Call me the Joker in that regard, good in any situation. Just adding some additional information.
Bumping this.
Still looking. If anyone has anything for offer, that's not [PAID] let me know.
Still looking for a campaign. It doesn't matter too much if it's not Nordic, but I would prefer something at least medieval or olden days. Nothing too modern or Sci-Fi. And preferably also 5E.
Bumping this.
What days are you looking to play? Are you dead set on around noon start time?
Lauren C. said: What days are you looking to play? Are you dead set on around noon start time? Preferably the weekends, and I'm not deadset on playing at noon, but not too late either. My timezone is CEST, but I put down EST for the ease of US DMs, given that's likely the larger majority of it.
Still looking for a game.
Bumpity bump bump.

Is 1 PM EST a sticking point? I have a campaign that starts at 7 PM EST on thursdays.
The Game Master said: Is 1 PM EST a sticking point? I have a campaign that starts at 7 PM EST on thursdays. 1PM EST isn't so much a sticking point, as it's more so the fact that it's on Thursday. I would prefer to have it be on the weekends, not during a weekday due to potential reasons to having to be up and early.
Hey there, trying to setup a Rime of the Frostmaiden game for 5E if you want. It's on Saturdays at 7PM CST. Like, if it was at 5PM CST, I would have joined.
Yay nobody snatched you up yet! I run a homebrew 5e traditional-fantasy world with mostly RP. We're every Tuesday, 1-3 EST. (It's just as hard finding players willing to play that in the US as it is to find a game, I expect!) The overarching game idea is post-post-apocalyptic, where magic has just returned and the characters are exploring a long-forgotten outside world. I'm almost literally making the map as we go, so adding Nordic touches will be easy-peasy (and pretty awesome to boot). I think you can find more info at https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/291199/rebirth-discovery Reply here or to my DMs - I hope to hear from you!

Because right now it doesn't truly grasp my interest.

I'm... not really sure what other information you're looking for, or what you're after, to be honest. At the moment, the party has arrived at a fortress-like monastery of the god of war and poetry, Aher. They're there because one of the characters worships this god and was told they'd help her with her PTSD. But all is not well, and the characters are about to learn that the unusually thick jungle-like forest they had to hack through in order to reach the monastery grew up almost overnight. Could this be related to the eerie village they passed through? Or does it have something to do with the nearby city? A new player would have the option of playing a follower of Aher (monk, cleric or bard would be the obvious options, but I could make anything work, really) or a resident of the aforementioned city. We have a sorcerer, barbarian, alcheimist and druid, so please none of those. I'm strict about keeping PC options to the books that I physically own: PHB, Tasha's, Xanthar's, Mordenkein's, and Volo's Tome of Foes. That having been said, Tasha's keeps race options wide open, and furries are cannon in the world. We are text-only. I'll run if at least 3 players show up. If you give me some warning I'll loop your absence in with the story- that's the kind of puzzle challenge I enjoy as a DM. We keep things PG-13 ish, really. Cursing is fine, explicit scenes of sex or violence is not. We are LBGTQ-friendly. We're multigenerational, but I'm pretty sure we're all adults... at the very least older teenagers. I do have a subtle, long-term arc that the party is learning about slowly, but the story is rather episodic in nature and depends on where the party chooses to explore next and what kind of adventures they respond to. Um, I hope that answers your questions?

Time to bump this again.
Would a Ghosts of Saltmarsh - albeit heavily homebrewed/added to - slow levelling campaign that runs on Mondays at 8 PM GMT work for you? It's very RP heavy, though, which might mean you have a lot of catching up on important NPCs and such, and it's text only + Roll20 for maps (which are also cut-pasted into the Discord). No homophobia, no racism, and note the party want to save anyone who hasn't crossed a moral line.

Though I'm glad you reached out.
Still looking for a group!!
Still looking for a group!!
Still looking for a campaign. And not writing a module, or a Westmarches game. Just a traditional, preferably below five players game.
