Text on GM layer is just... gone?

I had spent days putting the entirety of CoS into my Roll20: maps, tokens and a ton of notes on the GM layer regarding the placement of secret doors, DCs to detect secrets, loot drop locations and traps. Yesterday during a game I checked on one of my older maps and all of the text in the GM layer was gone. Days of work just gone. I'm gonna have to redo everything. I even read in another thread that someone had had their text go invisible and tried to see if there were any invisible objects around but nope, nothing. Newly added text works fine, though. Any idea why this happened and how I can avoid it in the future? I'm using Roll20 on Firefox 92.0 (64-bit) and a Win 10 Home 64-bit. Javascript is enabled, my antivirus is Bitdefender Antivirus Free and my browser extensions are Google Scholar, Mendeley Web Importer, Pinterest, Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin.

Hard to tell, given the information. Some questions: Between the time that you did the work and its disappearance, did you run a patch, or install an addon? Are you positive it's the same game? Some folks keep copies of games. While doing the work, did you have another tab or window open to another, active game? Although I haven't seen reports of it as often lately, this can sometimes cause data loss as the app becomes confused as to which session to write to. Check ALL the layers for the missing type. If you accidentally wrote it on the DL layer, for instance, it would not appear while on any other layer. Or if it were on the map layer, it might be under the map.
I installed the Castle Ravenloft Map Pack from the marketplace, but no patches I'm aware of. I only have one CoS game (and it's the only game I'm DMing right now) so yes, I'm sure. I did not have any other game open at the time, no. As I said, only DMing one game. I did check all layers. Most of the text I added before getting DL, so that layer was not available to me at the time. The text did still seem to be there after I converted the game to DL, though. It only vanished between last week and this week, while the DL was activated almost three weeks ago.

That is likely the problem then. If you have purchased the CoS module, it already includes the map pack. Installing the map pack over the module will overwrite those pages. From the Marketplace page: NOTE: These maps are already included in the complete Curse of Strahd module. This addon does NOT include description handouts, character journals, or tokens. If you did not start with the module, but only installed the map pack, then something has indeed gone wrong.
I did not start with the module, no. Only the map pack for the castle, since the source book does not provide top-down maps for the castle. All the other maps I added manually one by one.

Hmm. Then something definitely sounds like it went wrong. I'd suggest sending a step-by-step description of what you did and what happened to Roll20 in a  Help Center Request . They may be able to dig deeper or possibly even suggest a fix.
All right, I'll give it a shot. Thank you! ^^
