LFPs D&D 5e Game 7:30 Tonight Central Time

Hi all, We're looking to fill a hole in our weekly campaign. This game is going to act as an audition of sorts for that position. Let me know of you have any questions, Matt
I'm interested. I've read through the 5e D&D basic rules, but last time I played, 2e was still being shunned by most groups. What can I say; I'm an old neckbeard.
It's always good to bring some experience to the table. What sort of play style do you prefer? Also, how do you feel about playing a cleric? And thanks for your interest!
I like sandbox games. Epic quests tend to suggest themselves, I've always found that players are going to go off script anyway. I like roleplaying versus metagaming, but there's a time and place for each. I favor mages, by far. I'd play a cleric. It might be the 3rd or 4th cleric I've ever played, but I've DM'd a lot of cleric NPCs.
Are you comfortable rolling up a character sheet on your own? You seem like you'd be a great fit for our group.
Yes, I can do that. Any particulars I should be aware of?

Well in terms of gods, we're using a homebrew setting in which the divines intervene in mortal affairs regularly. The 9 gods of this realm can be found in a handout in-game. You can either do 30 point buy or /r 4d6k3 Please level your character to level 2 as well.
Hi Matt, I'd be up for playing tonight too. Still got room?
Yep
Were you able to check out those Character Gens? If so I'd prefer to use the 'Stout Halfling fighter' tonight. You should be able to copy them to your vault and upload them into the game then.
will do
I'm new to roll20, so not that familiar with the interface yet. But I have played AD&D 1E and 2E, Pathfinder and D&D Next (aka 5E) at D&D Encounters, so I'm familiar with the rules. Played a rogue in the Baldur's Gate session, played a cleric in the next one, a druid in the following one, and currently a cleric (the same one I played in the 2nd season I played) in the current season. So if you want another player, let me know what type of character to make and I'll try to come up with something :)
We have a cleric, a wizard and a fighter for tonight's game so far, so we could use a rogue or another cleric.
Would you consider taking someone who has never played a table top RPG before. I do have the 5e starter set and could play the rogue or cleric character.
Have you read through/feel comfortable with the rules?
I can do either a rogue or cleric depending on what Andrew prefers :) I'm not sure what your player limit is, at D&D Encounters it is 6, but some people prefer smaller groups :)
I think we're about full now. Could take 1 more person if there's interest
I have read the rules. Also I will have the basic rules right here with me.
Sounds good
You'll probably have to walk me through a few things but I'll catch on quickly.
I tend to like RP quite a bit, I am less focused on the mechanics, though I do a decent job with them usually. If that seems like a good fit, then sign me up and I'll get to work at filling out a character sheet for whatever class you would like me to play :)
Everyone should have an invite at this point, if you don't, let me know.
hey! i'd like to play if you still have room
sorry, full
