[LFP][Paid] 5e Forgotten Realms/Planescape/Dark Sun/Spelljammer (Saturday 2 PM PDT)

Session 0 shall be on Saturday, October 30, 2 PM PDT. Both Session 0 and 1 are free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GAME INFO This game is going to be campaign set using the 5e rules. The campaign will be set in one of the official D&D campaign settings mentioned in the LFG title, depending on what the players choose. If it's Forgotten Realms, I am willing to run an official adventure module (e.g. Lost Mine of Phandelver, Out of the Abyss, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist) or even a DMsGuild module (e.g. JVC Parry's Call from the Deep). If it is not a module, I will be running an open world/sandbox campaign in the setting that the players choose. I will also use try to tie up the story, arcs, and quests to fit the player characters' backgrounds. Session will be weekly and the duration will be between 2 - 4 hours (usually close or around 3 hours, 4 hours max). Player characters will start at 3rd level. Character creation will be done together in session 0. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DM INFO Hi, my name is Isaac! I'm 26 years old and I have played Tabletop RPGs for 6 years now, and most of the times I am a Game Master instead of a player. I have run multiple long campaigns, short campaigns, and one-shots across multiple systems (from D&D 5e, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade, Star Wars FFG, among others). And thankfully the players and I managed to see the ending of those games! D&D 5e is actually the fourth system that I learned and played, as before that I actually started with 3.5e, Call of Cthulhu, and Iron Kingdoms. But most of those 6 years of playing TTRPGs were spent by playing 5e. I really like 5e as a system and I love the D&D official settings, especially the four that I have mentioned in this LFG listing. And I am also glad that I got to use my experience as a DM to make my own 5e modules that I have released on DMsGuild. I am a storyteller. I love to tell stories by using TTRPG as a medium, and do it with the players by helping them immerse themselves in it and let them have a hand on it as well. I like the stories to feel personal to them and their characters, so they can experience it the best way possible. But most importantly, I want both the players and me to enjoy it as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DMing STYLE Roleplay: HIGH Combat: MEDIUM Puzzle: LOW ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PREVIOUS PLAYERS' TESTIMONIES You can check all of them here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12MWgXgQB-Dj7_Q_gU6Xzm4Ipt3ELCKo9OW7874kWMdg/edit?usp=sharing " There's barely any railroading. Players are free to go anywhere and do anything they want, and realistically facing the consequences of terrible actions. Even when we were playing module-based campaigns, Isaac always puts his own flavors and works with the player's backstories. So even if you've played the module before, it would be a different experience. Isaac's really good at voice acting and delivering horror or tension elements alongside moral dilemmas. He's always open to catering the players' out of the box ideas (but within common sense, naturally) in a campaign, like establishing a tavern business, and also good at utilizing said ideas as additional plot points. " - Dancingberry " Story driven and I look up to him on having a creative mind for multiple tabletop games. His resilience and passion for the game is amazing. " - Paul " He puts a lot of effort into the world creation and campaign progression. He also puts effort in integrating his Players' stories into the game and the boundaries of each Player. He is dedicated to his work and puts his best effort to create awesome and enjoyable games for his players. " - Aoi ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT WILL YOU GET FROM ME AS YOUR DM 1. 2 to 4-hour sessions (usually it's around 3 hours, with bathroom/snack breaks) 2. Consistent and regular sessions (I will let the players know in advance if I couldn't run a session) 3. In-depth narrative and storytelling (with engaging themes and concepts that will intrigue or even challenge you, but still making you comfortable and fun while experiencing it) 4. Detailed lore (I love the settings that I have mentioned and I have immersed myself with the lore, and I believe I can help you learn them through the game without being too lore-dumping) 5. A safe, fun, and friendly environment (I will be asking trigger/content warnings from you to ensure that the things in the sessions are respectful) 6. Roll20 Pro features (Dynamic Lighting, API scripts, among others) 7. Roll20 Compendium (Player's Handbook and Xanathar's Guide to Everything, more to come) 8. Visual representations (Maps, Character & Spell Tokens, and hopefully in the future I can provide more custom maps and arts that I commission for the players) 9. Good mentoring and handholding for new players! 10. Mature Contents (by this I mean it will include some mature/18+/nsfw contents that might appear depending on the player's action and how the game goes. Hence why I will try to make sure if there's any content/trigger warnings and your preferences. Some of the stuff in my game might also deal with heavy themes that usually appear in grimdark fantasy, but not to the point it is edgy for the sake of edginess, take Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire, The First Law, Malazan, The Broken Empire as references). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT I EXPECT FROM YOU AS MY PLAYERS 1. Consistent and regular attendance (please don't be late and if you can't attend, do let me know in advance) 2. Respectful of other people in the group (don't be a dick, and please use common sense when interacting as characters & players) 3. A decent microphone & Discord (with push-to-talk, which I will help to set up) 4. Interesting characters (I'm hoping for great backstories and personalities from your player characters! I only allow official D&D 5e contents, Unearthed Arcana and 3rd party contents are subject to my approval) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAY TO PLAY Each player must pay $10 per session at least 24 hours before the session. Payment must be sent through PayPal. The reason why I set this up as Pay to Play is because the company that I used to work for laid off all of its employees, including me. This is a side gig for me while I'm doing other side jobs and looking for a full-time job. I hope you understand. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLAYER APPLICATION FORMAT 1. Name or Alias: 2. Age: 3.
