Despite recent victories, the Rebel Alliance flounders in its struggle against the evil Galactic Empire. Desperately short on supplies, the Rebels investigate every lead to resupply their forces. As part of this effort, a team of Elite Operatives is sent to the Alliance Intelligence flagship Shadow Raptor to oversee resupply efforts along the rimward sectors of the Hydian Way... SUMMARY/META INFO Hello! Welcome to this Age of Rebellion Star Wars: Fantasy Flights Games TTRPG campaign. This campaign will follow a group of Rebel Operatives struggling against the Empire, fighting for a future free of Tyranny. Perhaps to Restore the Republic, or maybe Create something New. As your Rebel Cell grows in military might and political relevance, what will you use your power for? Will you bring aide to the people who have been wronged and oppressed by the Empire, even at the cost of your own skins, or will you use any means necessary to Strike Back against your foes? These decisions are ultimately yours, but one thing is certain. The various factions at play in the Galaxy must work together to bring down the unmatched strength of the Galactic Empire. This Game takes place on Wednesdays at 6:30pm CST and typically runs for 3-4 hours. We have run two sessions of this campaign, though the game is still heavily ripe for new players to join in and change the dynamic! We are currently seeking up to two players to fill empty slots. Myself as a DM: You can call me Weevil, or Dapper! Whatever you prefer. I've been DMing games for about 7 years in various systems, Dungeons and Dragons, Chronicles of Darkness, MOTHERSHIP, and of course Star Wars: Fantasy Flight Games. I'm a roleplay centric DM who ultimately has the goal of creating a cooperative narrative with the players and encouraging roleplay as well as immersion in my games. That is not to say however, that I slouch when it comes to hard rules and knowing my crunch. I make a point to be greatly familiar with the systems of any game that I run, and combat is of course something I find integral which can add tension and palpable sense of threat to any situation. You can expect an even mixture of Roleplay/Combat/Exploration. I treat my players as the heroes of their own stories, ones who can drastically alter the fate of the Setting they find their characters within, whether for better or worse. Your choices will have impact. Your successes, and failures, will matter and drastically shift the course of history for The Galaxy depending upon what you do. There may be some guidance and the occasional plot-hooks, but ultimately it is a Free, 'Open-world' galaxy for you to explore. If you apply to join this game, you can expect that I'll hold a personal 'session 0' for you if I think you're a good fit for the group, to orient you on where the party is, to go over some expectations again within Voice chat, and to establish rapport. Of course, this session 0 is also a free opportunity for you to decide if you'd like to commit to this game before you jump into any active play. I'm very open to communication and being messaged throughout the week, and try to get back to any message I receive once I have a moment of free time. You'll never have to feel bad about asking a question about mechanics or a particular story beat you'd like to see in game, as I'm always open to hear about those things. RULES This game will feature all optional rules and Specializations from Age of Rebellion Supplement Books, available for players to use. In addition, all Universal Specializations are available for players to use. These optional rules include things like Squadron Rules, Expanded Skillrolls, etc. The party is limited to 2 Force Sensitive characters who may take F&D classes, one of these slots has been filled but we still have one available Force Sensitive Slot. If you choose to play a Force Sensitive you may use Force and Destiny Careers/Specs, or Universal Force Sensitive Specs to represent your Force Sensitivity. Being absent from session for 3 or more sessions consecutively without a sufficient reason will lead to you being kicked from the game. We are starting at Knight Level Play (150 Extra XP after Character gen, 9000 Extra Starting Credits.) No bullying, harassment, or OOC discrimination allowed. People will be spending time, money, and effort to be part of this group and have fun, respect your fellow players investment. STRUCTURE This game will be a long-style Campaign structured game that could last anywhere from 5 months-2 years, depending on the group. The game will begin with the Game Masters Kit AoR pre-written adventure but will immediately afterwards open up into a self-guided Open-Galaxy campaign with various plothooks for missions and the like to grab onto, or ignore at the groups discretion. Several plothooks may lead into other AoR modules, but most content in the game will be entirely homebrew story and adventure material based on the groups preferences and desires. It will be a living, breathing Galaxy that will move independently of your actions but will also have the potential to be heavily shaped by them. Maybe your Rebel Cell will obtain enough political backing to establish its own government after the Fall of the Empire, maybe you'll lead the Rebellion to Ruin and Defeat? Or, perhaps you shall usher in a return of the Republic and Democracy, or even the Confederacy of Independent Systems? Your own actions and their effectiveness can change the course of Galactic History, for better or worse. THE STORY SO FAR... The Squad of Highly Specialized Rebel Operatives have taken a mission from Rebel Intelligence Command, directly granted to them by General Airen Cracken. Their mission? To retrieve a massive shipment of droids of various kinds recovered by a Privateer under charter with the Rebellion, stolen valiantly from an Imperial Depot. However, after confirming the deal the party encountered some oddities... The Droids were offered at an unreasonably low price, prompting suspicion. The group decided to investigate said droids, and discovered that their brains had been altered with foreign hardware. Now, seeking to find the source of this tampering as well as discover what dastardly plot had been set against The Rebellion, they set out to leave Port Tooga, a small smuggler's haven in the Listehol system. However, their efforts are somewhat complicated by the fact that Port Tooga's master, a female hutt by the name of Sheela has discovered that all of her droids have been tampered with and suddenly became hostile during negotiations between herself and The Rebels initiated to facilitate their expediated journey off of Port Tooga. Combat ensued, and the Rebels managed to not only gain the favor of Sheela by saving her life, but also learned that perhaps this unknown spans far wider than they originally ever imagined... This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10 per session via paypal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
