27th October The newly established settlement of Korthos on the southern coast of the Harrowmere has sent an urgent call for heroes willing to help root out the nefarious Devourer Cult and its sahuagin overlords.  In recent weeks, a strange winter has fallen over the normally warm village. Could this be tied to the rise of the Devourer Cult? Or is there something more dangerous lurking in this unassuming hamlet? Continuation The Party of brave adventurers that responded to the call for help from the chief of Korthos village is on the track of Devourer Cult. They discovered that the crypt of a well-established family is being used as a source of undead remains. Does it have anything to do with the Cult? The guard of the crypt? Or maybe even the white dragon? Following a thorough investigation of the crypt, the party are now nearing the final ritual chamber.  Recommended for adventures level 2-4 Please include your characters Passive Perception and bonus to Survival and if they are proficient in Survival or not! DM Note :  I've designed a dozen unique magic items and at least one unique artificer spell for this one. They won't all be gained in a single session, of course, but this initial quest is the gateway to a series with further rewards. Bugger. Real life has rudely intervened. How dare it?? I am going to have to pull out of this game, sorry gang. Will look forward to the next time.
I've suggested as much in the game channel on Discord, but any thought towards postponing this to the 27th? That would potentially allow both Sam and Soap to rejoin?
This one was rescheduled to the 27th. Awaiting confirmed sign-ups.

Uriel's Journal 26 th Marpenoth We did it, the Sahuagin infesting the crypt are no more. It was a bloody fight and fraught. The shark priest tried to trap us in an unspeakable tentacle filled void and despite our best efforts he was able to bring another of the Heyton’s back to unlife. It seemed like the battle was lost but slowly, surely, we brought the beasts under control. First the skeletons fell, then the priest, finally a mad cultists who just wouldn’t die. Upon dispatching the last of their number we tasted victory, finally. We split up the loot and made our way back to the surface and the Wavecrest Inn, hopefully this will see a period of calm for Korthos…. Several mundane entries about writing spells, complaints about Gimble snoring from the room across end abruptly with the latest entry… 2nd Uktar We’ve been asked to see the mayor this very morning, something about unusual Sahuagin activity…. IT’S WARRRRR!!!!
The Defence of Korthos Part I: Sahaugin Shark Tank as told by Jereboam   When I left off my tale of the doings on Korthos we’d defeated some cultists and gained a third glowing magical thingy.  My companions assured me this would be the key to reaching the cultists’ lair. I duly followed them to a strange wall where we placed the glowy things into their sockets and opened up a room where some strange creatures were enacting am unholy ritual.  We sprang into action, hoping to stop the high priest before he could finish whatever it was he was trying to do.  Alas there were only five of us and we couldn’t quite bring him down in time.   Things got very hairy after that as the corpse of some great warrior was raise and started laying into us.  We were also trapped because one of the cultists had summoned some sort of magical darkness that froze the marrow in your bones. There was nothing to do but grit our teeth and tough it out.  Fortunately some of Uriel’s magics proved effective as did the strange bangy wand wielded by Astra.  I just tried to keep some of the warrior types busy so the others could focus on the evil priest and Gimble joined me to help out.  Eventually the tide turned and the Lords of Darkness plus me managed to put them all down (some of them for a second time, having been raised from the dead). In the aftermath we found some coin and magic items that we shared around.  I ended up with a suit of full plate armour, even finer than what my commanding officers used to have. We returned to the grateful village of Korthos to receive a hero’s welcome, though truth to tell they were somewhat subdued due to an expected attack by the evil Sahaugin.  We rested up, recovered from our wounds and planned the defence of the town. It seemed that there were likely three focuses for the attack: the inn, the town hall (which has a magic crystal that provides heat for the town) and the docks.  After some debate we decided to defend the townhall, reasoning that they could probably repair the tavern and the docks, but the magic gem would be irreplaceable. No sooner were we finalising our plans when the alarm went out.  We hasted down to the basement of the hall and took our positions just in time.  Wave after wave of the Sea Devils came down the stairs and the fighting grew very fierce.  The creatures attacked in a blood lusted frenzy and rained fearsome blows at our party.  At one stage I was felled and later on Elotarus suffered the same fate, though thankfully we were pulled back from the brink of death by our companions.  In the middle of the battle our guard slipped and one of the devils managed to come within striking distance of the gem.  To our great fortune its claws failed to strike true before the mighty Gimble brought him down with one of his strange glowing canons.  Eventually we killed their leader and the threat to the town hall was over! No rest for an honest soldier, however, the battle at the docks was just hotting up and battered and bruised though we were, we hastened to answer the call…
