Hi there! I'm thinking about starting a story/RP heavy 5e game in a homebrew setting. There would be some combat, sure, but the focus is on the story we build together. I also really like using the character's backstories to weave a plot that makes everyone feel personally involved. Would you be willing to play with a relatively new, US-based DM? (I have a about 4 months of running a Werewolf the Apocalypse game, which my players seem to enjoy). I can't do voices, sadly. Would you be free to play Saturdays starting at about 1p EST or Sundays at about 5p? I usually run a game about 3 hours, going over if we need to find a good stopping place, but I rarely hit 4 hours unless the players are comfortable with that. Are you comfortable with using Discord for VC and text with Roll20 primarily for visuals and rolls? If any of this works for you or sounds ok, please don't hesitate to let me know! Brief/rough description of the game I'm planning: The war for Eternal Summer has been going on for nearly a decade and it seems the golden army of Solmett, the god of Summer and Family, is finally on the verge of winning. But what secrets are hiding behind this war? Who remembers the gods that are no longer worshiped as Solmett seeks to ascend the throne of sole deity of the continent? The only one left openly defying Solmett is Kesthe, goddess of the Night and of Secrets, and her followers. Will you help the golden army win their war and overthrow the rest of the gods of the pantheon, perhaps for power of your own? Will you dedicate yourselves to the fallen gods and seek to bring balance back to the continent? Will you dive deep into the history of the continent and bring back to light the truth of the continent's origins? How will you change the world, or will you simply stand aside and let others change it for you?
