Game Day  Star Wars Start Time:  9:00 AM PDT / 4:00 PM GMT Duration:  5 hours, +1 hour optional buffer, if needed to finish. Voice:  Voice will be run on Discord Everything Else:  Roll20 is used for everything else: character sheets, maps, handouts, music, and sound effects This will be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in joining us for a single game day to check out this version of Star Wars RPG, West End Games' venerable Star Wars d6, and/or someone who just wants a day of play without any commitments. As always for my games, knowing the rules is never required and newbies and veterans alike are welcome. Guest players play an Associate NPC for a single session. In my campaign game, I have what are called “Associate NPCs.” These are NPCs that are known associates to the players’ characters – either former allies, friends, associates OR they are NPCs introduced during the course of play whose association is based on situational factors (as in, all in the same boat). There are either personal or situational reasons why these characters would help the player characters and be more trusted by same, and they are distinct from other NPCs for those reasons. Most of these are NPC crew members, but occasionally, one encounters a former: ally, army buddy, rival, lover, etc -- someone with whom the players have a history. Players can opt to bring one or more of these along to bolster their own skills when needed (story elements allowing of course). These can be run by me, though often when we have people waiting to take a guest turn in my game, they can run that NPC instead. I’m posting here in the event that there’s someone that would like to run this NPC as a guest player. Otherwise, I’ll be running her. This session's NPC is a droid, M33-NA, created by one of my players. This Saturday we’ll be introducing M33-NA into the game for the first time. As the current area (the Hapes Nebula) is one where women are ascendant over men (think Star Wars' version of amazons), this droid has been programmed with a specific personality matrix: M33-NA is programmed with a female gender and aside from maintenance tasks, the rapid evaluation of gasses and the expected profit for same, she is also tasked with instruction and supervision of male workers. After many years working with the mining guild she sees herself as truly female and  above her human male counterparts; this means she will act like many Hapan females  and ignore any male or treat them little better than beasts of burden, addressing the women instead of directly talking to the men. One thing her fellow women have taught her is that men cannot be trusted without strict supervision....luckily for her the price of a droid is often valued more than the dignity of a man. Recommended play style for this character should be tongue-in-cheek, ala L3-37 from Solo . Setting is the Old Republic Era appx 3600 BBY, sometime shortly after the Great Galactic War (between the Sith Empire and Galactic Republic). Players are currently in the Hapes Nebula, on the frozen world of Bw’karra. While trying to strike it rich by taking a hand at mining frozen gases, the players have stumbled upon an abandoned mining complex nowhere on any maps. Something terrible has happened to the inhabitants of this station and in seeking answers, the players now find themselves hunted. This is a horror-themed adventure, good for the Halloween season. This is an adventure in progress. PM me if you have any Qs or are interested in adopting this persona for one game. For those that would like to know more about West End Games' historic RPG, here is a Link  to RPGGamer's introduction video for those curious about this system.  I actually take exception to Freddy's statement about this being a complicated game. I find it a very easy game to get the hang of, and yet it captures that dash and action of the setting very well, which is why it is still played after all this time. Again, there is no need or expectation that you know the rules. You just need Discord, and a Roll20 account, both free.
