Ready to win D&D? Want hack and slash with none of that inane "downtime" or "internal consistency?" Ever wondered what super-smash bros would look like with less lag and more dice? Then this is the game for you! To quote the site: “Small teams of Dungeness are pitted against each other in a no-holds-barred frenzy of carnage in a team-based, player-vs-player competition. The competition will consist of individual 60-mintue matches. At the end of every match, the number of dungeoneer deaths will be tallied, and the team with the least number of deaths will be declared the winner!” We will be using D&D 4th edition to host several PVP death-matches, each hopefully more violent than the last! Each map has it's own house-rules. Key among them are the rules for respawning; Not because we want your character to live, but because want them to die again. You will need to bring a token and an avatar for your character, and a character sheet. Character creation is as follows: Teams will be composed of four, RPGA-legal 1st-Level player characters (dungeoneers), created using the Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition standard point-buy system (Method #1 or Method #2). I need at least 1 person/per team, but want 8 players total. Dungeoneers have 100 gp to buy their equipment with and may not pool resources with other dungeoneers, nor may the sell free starting equipment. Dungeoneers may choose any Race. ANY of them. No potions, poisons, alchemical or other consumable items. Assassins may still prepare poisons, as per Poison Use. All Themes, Spellplagues, Wild Talents (Dark Sun) and Fortune Cards are forbidden, as are backgrounds from both Scales of War and Forgotten Realms. A dungeoneer with an At-Will stance or aura starts with one of each active at the start of combat, when initiative is rolled. All dungeoneers have line of sight and line of effect to their allies when initiative is rolled. Special: Artificers may choose to refresh a healing infusion and Assassins may choose to refresh Assassin's Strike whenever they are granted an ability that refreshes all encounter powers, such as Respawn. I would like to start play on the 4th june, or possibly the 6th. I can play on Wednesday or Monday. I'd like to start at either 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock, Australian Eastern Standard Time on those days: depending on when the majority of players want to start. Mics are not necessary, but encouraged. Webcams are a no. Each session will be about 3 and ½ hours: enough to play three maps. You'll only have that many to choose from in the beginning, but each week I'll add three more, until the entire roster is filled: and you'll get to vote on which ones to play.
